Saw these guys support Sonata Arctica last week in Cardiff and they performed this song. I can guarantee that they did not use a drum machine. Brilliant live band, better than on the CD I would say. They come accross alot tamer on the album but live... they are loud and fraking metal! Long live Labyrinth!!
indeed sounds like drum machine (it seems), althought would be very weird, since Labyrinth's drummer is the same between RTHD and SOT... and plays just this fast in both albums, and def., there are no drum machines...
anyway, always asked myself why the overall sound is better in this EP than in the actual Sons of Thunder album..
in conclusion: the song is awesome, just enjoy it!
If power metal is more progressive than epic metal than does'nt that make it more epic? And how is Symphony X not counted as Epic, with such masterpieces as the Odessye. Even the content alone is an epic tale. Thats what happens when titles are thrown around hap-hazardly.I also like bands like Nightwish & Epica, but to call them epic and Rhapsody simply power-metal just seems counter intuitive.
@MercuriusWarrior It would never be a drum machine live, labyrinth don't use a drum machine live.
I've seen dragonforce twice live, the drummer is definately playing, but he use's triggers in an extremely cheat way. Triggers arent cheating, but they are when you use them like the dragonforce drummer does.
Well, I guess he's gotta do something to keep those speeds up touring for weeks on end hasn't he??
been jamming this song since 2002. Great tune, very strong playing, melodies, lyrics, and well composed. 5/5 one of the best songs I've ever heard a true classic one that will stick out in my mind when I think of Labyrinth and power metal as a whole.
@Roadblock1080 Your comment has been here at the top every time I come back for as long as I can remember, and it deserve's to be. I wish I knew some people that just jam out kickass music for me to drum to, its too rare where I live.
This song it's one of my fav's, and makes me remember those years when I first listened to it, several years ago, when I also Knew Skylark, the first Avantasia Album just got out at that time, nice memories ;)
Essa versão é infinitamente melhor que a que está no álbum Sons Of Thunder e uma das melhores que eu ja ouvi!
This version is infinity better than the one that is in the Sons Of Thunder album and one of the best music ever!
5/5

fetthunderdome 1 year ago
@fetthunderdome I do not think this is drum machine.... And, production is way superior on the EP than on the actual album, sadly
Muthafuca 1 year ago
@Muthafuca it is, it's not a supposition. i know it is.

@Muthafuca It is a drum machine, but don't let that make you dislike the music any less. I'm a drummer and the drums is what I get into most here :D
