Why would the burden of proof be one side? I think that's just a misconception that most atheists have taken from a lot of the rhetoric of Dawkins. The onus can lie on either side. The "Unicorn in the Box" is a bad analogy, to better equate that analogy to the Christian claim, for example, what the Christian is actually saying is that this "unicorn in the box" (the God) associates itself with everyone, and therefore, the atheist has just as much power as the theist at proving or disproving it.
@Broconda Arrogance is claiming that just because you were born christian, you'll live on a cloud and praise your sociopath sky daddy while ninety-nine percent of people who ever existed will go to hell and be tortured until the end of time.
Saying "Yeah, it looks nice and all, but all I have is your word on it, so until you show me something else, I don't think it's true" Isn't arrogance, it's logic.
WOW! What a show this is and did you ever show that ninny to be the fool that he is. Good for you and my kudos to 'TheSkunkCat' comment here. I am going to have to memorize what he said because it is SO well placed and true. I went to church as a kid and ended up believing in some of it for most of my life. Now, thanks to enlightened authors and shows like this one, I have completely put it all behind me and feel great that I'm finally free of guilt and things that just didn't make sense.
Here's Cock-of-Shite's proof and evidence that atheism is accurate and correct;
Religious people just over and over again just HAVE to be dishonest like that, because they know they can't defend their claims honestly. Which proves their claims are utter bullshit and don't stand up at all under scrutiny. And thus they're reduced to asking atheists halfassed dishonest questions like that in an attempt to stump them and declare victory, little kiddy playground style.
Honestly the way I see it, theists have had thousands of years to prove their gods exist and over and over again they either failed laughably, bumbling into every goddamn logical fallacy possible in a feeble attempt to reason their god into existence. Or they've just used violence to keep everyone in line.
And not being able to use violence anymore, they're just all resorting to dishonesty now. Which they get busted on CONSTANTLY.
@Broconda NOTHING in science points to God, and there is no proof that God DOES not exist. The fact that there is no proof that he DOES exist is how we reach our conclusion that he (it?) does not exist.
I don't get how theists can't get this. Theres a fairy in my car.
i say i don't believe u ..that statement doesn't mean i have a religion or dogma and tenants etc about there not being fairies. it means i don't believe that..thats it
@Broconda Yes...have you?? If the God of the Bible IS real then I want nothing to do with him. Why would you or anyone else pay homage to such an evil monster?
@Broconda Why?..Do you want to solidify my atheism...It doesn't matter..Its super natural, I don't believe peeps aged to 900, talking snakes, virgin birth, fish and loaves, lived in a fish for 3 days, noahs arc, raising of the dead, eve from a rib, etc etc etc,, How could any rational person believe..
1) Whether it is an entity, concept, or whatever, rejection of the existence of X is the default position. If not, we might as well believe in everything. (Like believing space pixie ninja monkeys abducted my dragon who is the reincarnation of Jesus.)
2) Atheism is a non-belief as it is the lack of a belief in god X. For example, most of us are atheists to Odin.
3) Lacking a belief is not a belief. Just like not owning a Ford (Believe in Zeus) is not the same as owning a car (Having a belief).
@FirstTimeViewers Had a profound Near Death Experience. Actually died - clinically dead for 16 mins. Was able to tell Doctors what they were doing..my father what he was doing even though he was 60 miles away. Went through the tunnel, met dear departed ones, met a divine being. It is the most incredible experience that words cannot describe.
@manconoo That is a wonderful and inspirational story. Surely, most of us who had that experience would no longer be here to tell it. But what evidence can you present to prove that you aren`t making it up? Unless you can present evidence, you are full of it. I'm glad you are alive, but as a rational person I have no reason to believe what you say. Why exactly should anyone believe anything you say, especially the meeting a divine being part? I think you're lying. Prove me wrong.
@drunkenscotsman I was dead for 16 minutes according to my doctor my brain was clinically dead but all of my major organs were sustained artificially. My father was at home 60 miles away and he was looking repairing the petrol mower which seized up. He had to get oil down the local hardware store. I related this to my father who was absolutely astonished including details of the conversation he had with the sales assistant. I was also able to describe to doctors intricate details.
@drunkenscotsman ...intricate details of tools which I had never seen before in my life being used on me in the operation..they too were astonished. The being I saw was composed entirely of light - the most dazzling yet not blinding and beautiful light you have ever seen. I just knew this was a divine being,it's message was of love and compassion and mercy. It imparted to me the importance of all these concepts. That love is what binds us all together.
John. This is your life, good to the last drop. It doesn't get any better than this. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. This isn't a seminar, this isn't a weekend retreat. Where you are now you can't even imagine what the bottom will be like.
Nothing is static. Everything is evolving. Everything is falling apart.
You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everything else... now, I want you to hit me as hard as you can! {=D
As a Christian, I have to say I agree with these statements. It's all a matter of belief.
I don't try to convert people. I simply share an evangelical message, without expecting it to be accepted nor rejected. It's wrong to force feed the message and teaching to someone who doesn't want to recieve it.
@ankhaton "Atheist are the greatest believers ever - Believing fanatically in 'nothing'"
Why don't you start by providing a deductive argument that demonstrates this from the single premise "I don't believe in gods", which is all atheism is.
"like the parabel of the horny son who got a 3 days meal from his father"
>.> That's a lot of cum, and also pretty disgusting.
@BobbieJamesTuOl - He can't afford to admit that he understands it. This plonker (FranksVoice) and ShockofGod, are relentlessly flogging this because it's all they have. It isn't meant to be answered, it's simply something to pester atheists with.
@Christheatheist1 The question IS meant to be answered, the fact is shockofgod just reversed the burden of proof so Atheists have to prove why their disbelief is correct as opposed to the Theists proving their belief is correct
This isn't a dead horse, it's the fossilised skeleton that USED to be a dead horse
@Christheatheist1 Especially how he says "Haha, I beat the Atheist Experience; take that, Atheists!" even though they have absolutely NO records of him calling the show whatsoever
@Christheatheist1 Using the First Ammendment while ignoring Rule 12, I'd guess; he's free to say what he likes, but he should be prepared to be called on it & of course, since he blocks & hides all comments that disagree with him, he isn't
I'd say he's just ignorant or possibly even stupid... not "stupid like a fox" stupid, just the general kind of stupid
Nice to see an atheist losing and blocking the caller ..How will they block God though ?

Atheist are the greatest believers ever -
Believing fanatically in 'nothing'
which is non-sense because Neutrinos exist.
Something is throwing these neutrinos , You?
Like Buddha I can as easily give you PROOF
that it is impossible that you exist
Little bit like "First = the last" ; true = false ; sinner go heaven
like the parabel of the horny son who got a 3 days meal from his father
In "the-why-of-the-creation" I explain for I $ not only IT
but also the WHY

The definition of Atheist; the rejection of belief in the existence of deities (Gods).
All being an Atheist means is lacking a belief in a God, Nothing else.
You are spweing nonsensical tripe over my screen.
