you people give a lot of weight to false leadership in this country. get it straight. our government is the pivot point for the real leaders of the planet, not america. we are not that special. all votes are either in the favor of the rich leaders, or manipulated by them. get over all the fighting about political parties. its non relevent.
Okay, here's the loony left wingers Bill O'Reilly is always going on about. I thought they didn't exist. I actually naively believed that there weren't fucktards from the left feeding the war of hate. Oh well, thank you, sir, for proving me wrong.
These freaks should be stripped, skinned, tarred, feathered and chased down Pennsylvania Ave by a flock of gorillas in heat carrying spiked planks...
They should be used like you said as jizz catchers by large black career rapists and mentally ill men called George in a maximum security prison somewhere in a red neck shit kicker country...
Since the retard-in-chief Bush created more anti-American sentiment around the world, its highly possible there will be another attack on this country.
And you all know what the closet homosexual chickenhawk republican's response will be: Euphoria.
The worst terrorist attack happened under their watch, they created an economic mess, and our standing as a beacon of hope and prosperity in the world is nothing but a dying flicker of light.
Obama went to Denmark like he was the emperor of the world. Standing presidents shouldn't grovel before Olympic committees..... it's simply unsightly. I cheered because I think that kind of behavior is reprehensible, and I'm glad the committee didn't cave to the pressure. However I'm sure some people cheered for other reasons as well. Your arguments reek of partisanship and spin...... you and the republicans are two sides of the same coin.... surely you must see that?
Creationism and evolution; 2 sides of the same coin. Chemistry and alchemy; 2 sides of the same coin. Model of the Solar System and geocentrism; 2 sides of the same coin. Germ theory and divine punishment; 2 sides of the same coin. Medicine and witchcraft; 2 sides of the same coin. Global earth and flat earth; 2 sides of the same coin.
If it had been Bush the Son (along with his wife) going to the committee to try to get the Olympics in Texas what would the reaction of the democrats be? THE SAME...or at least its democrat equivalent. The republicans and democrats operate more like mob families than a political system by ignoring logic and reason and instead routing for a team. They both support:
I'm all for 3rd parties & an end to the winner take all mandates, when a clear majority hasn't won. To a degree I'd even agree with you; both parties are beholden to the corporatocracy. However, one party tries to ensure security for the general populace, while the other is straight-up misanthropic. Pick any metric (unemployment, deficit, job creation, average income, poverty) & compare to administrations since the Great Depression. There is a big difference.
"ensure security for the general populace" hmmm.... I've heard that as a mandate for control economies before, but I digress. Just because one party prints up a little more paper than another party and makes someone elses grandchildren pay for it, doesn't make them a hero. I would pick up an economics book (from the Austrian school) if I were you. Try to understand the business cycle and stop reading only the headline numbers. Ask yourself.... is this action sustainable?
There is nothing wrong with protecting the populace from robber barons. Ask yourself, if Friedmanian economics are so great, then why is the economy in the gutter after practicing them for the last 30 years?
Austrian economics is NOT the same thing as "Friedmanian" economics. Try reading Human Action by Ludwig von Mises or Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt. Friedman still believes in doses of money printing here and there. The problem always remains-by creating an artificial credit bubble/boom, you are also creating an inevitable BUST. Period.
Two side of the same coin, remember?
BTW:Try not to fit concepts of which you have no knowledge into preordained sections of your mind. Thx
I chose Friedman, because unlike the Austrian School, it's scientific & they both share one quality, which is absolute poison to economies; laissez faire capitalism, which is nothing more than a moral justification for greed & exploitation.
In real world applications, laissez faire capitalism has nothing on Keynesian economics & the numbers prove it.
All one really needs to know is that Ron Paul is an Austrian School proponent. That's reason enough to ignore it.
It's interesting that I continually come across people who reject philosophical ideas based upon only what they've heard second hand, rather than logic, reason and empirical research.
However I'm sure that's not the case with you.... you've obviously read a book by a prominent Austrian economist to understand the empirical evidence which supports it's conclusions. Personally on my bookshelf, I've got Marx sitting next to Locke and Darwin next to the Bible/Naturalist writings. But that's me.
If that's the case, I'm more than certain that you would feel comfortable with my book collection. It pretty much takes up an entire room & because of them, I really hate moving.
Wonderful. I'm glad that you do perform your due diligence when it comes to gathering the proper empirical as well as theoretical information in order to ascertain a balanced perspective.
You said you like Friedman over the Austrian school because it's more scientific. Yet one of the core principles in the Austrian school of thought is that human behavior is unquantifiable. Clearly you must see that in your day to day life.
So..... have you actually read a book by an Austrian Economist?
I've read "Liberalism" from Ludwig von Mises, "Studies in Philosophy, Politics, & Economics" from Hayek, & Schumpeter's "Capitalism, Socialism, & Democracy" many moons ago as an undergraduate. This discussion has made me want to read Hayek's book again to see how I respond to it after so many years. As it stands now, I tend more to Keynesian theories, but I have no problem challenging them.
Note: I didn't study economics & my reading stemmed from philosophy courses.
The middle school I attended had us read 1984 when I was in 7th grade. When I reread it "many moons" later it was clearly a different book.... one reason is because I WANTED to understand it. Also it doesn't help that the university has a habit of giving students just enough work so they can't intellectually absorb it.
I would suggest reading "Economics in One Lesson" by Hazlitt. It's a really concise overview which exposes many of the fallacious arguments employed by "modern" economics.
Typical leftest liberal conversation by the way. I've had hundred of them with people like you.
You guys always tend to abuse the meaning of the enlightenment by 'agreeing to disagree' before every really getting to the crux of the debate (that's the part you're afraid of because it exposes the truth). Namely that your arguments don't hold water when you actually analyze them against empirical evidence. Good luck hiding from the truth! It's going to be a bumpy ride....
Why the rush? I've been very busy the past couple of days. Believe it or not, I can't live from anonymous posting on YouTube. Be that as it may, I've ordered your recommendation over Amazon for $6.50 & will look into it in about 10 days.
As for your last "conclusion", I'm somewhat disappointed with the "leftest liberal" finger pointing & rambling. Your posts were intelligent until that point.
The ride will be bumpy for everyone, by the way; regardless of where you stand politically.

Evolution is proven with fossils and DNA. Creationists use faith. How are they the same?

They are not the same. One is based on observable evidence & the other is based on bronze-age myths.
I used irony to make the point that not all things are the same & not all arguments are justified. Read the rest of the comment.
Not to offend, but I really don't see how a thoughtful person could construe that I believe creationism is equal to science based on my comment.
