  • I love Ellen's mom. :)

  • I am crieing because i feel the same way. I cant tell anyone i life in secret because i am scared to death that people hate me.

  • @AnneAulisRobin don't be scared, I don't know you, but you DO have people who support you and others like you. My best friend growing up is gay, and to this day he won't come out to his family. Find support from people who understand, there are people who will.

  • she is gay?!?!? :O

  • Well, I'm a 14 year old alien. My family would hate me if I'd tell them. I've told 1 friend who supports me, 1 friend who's an alien too and 1 friend a month ago who I was in love with, but I haven't talked to her since I told her. Also 1 month ago I met a girl by the internet and we started to have a virtual relationship, I felt like I was totally in love with her, but her mom found out and hit her and forbade her to use the computer and told her dad; and I had my first heartbreak.

  • a beautiful one too rawr

  • I knew I was les since I was in the second grade. (I'm 7th grade now) I told my parents this year.

  • @sabdelro

Congrats and good for you !! :D

  • @sabdelro How did it go? It's very brave telling your parents something like that. I told my mom that someone hurt me as a child and I'm so lucky to have a mom like her, because I was scared to death of what she would think or say. I am not gay/bi, but I support and admire anyone who is willing to share something that is scary to tell, no matter whether it is abuse or being gay. It doesn't matter what it is; just know that you were born this way and be proud of who you are. :)

  • @bookfreak10001 It didn't go very well. There was screaming, yelling, shouting, anger, and frustration. Typical. But I guess we're kind of okay now. And if you were/are being abused, don't just tell your mom. Tell someone else that you really, really trust. Because you have your own rights and you can still be in a better place. Same goes for you, appreciate yourself no matter what anyone says. Because there will be a lot of haters out there. But be brave enough to face them. Good luck! :)

  • @sabdelro I really respect the courage it took to come out to your parents, a lot of adults don't have that kind of guts. Hope you know that the anger and frustration has more to do with their fear for you, than anger AT you. Parents want their kids to have safe, happy lives. They don't want you to have to face the prejudice and hate (as hard as that is to deal with) that gays have to face these days. They want to protect you and when it comes down to it, they've got your back. Good luck to you.

  • I'm a 16 year old alien.. I'm scared to tell my parents. I've told 2 of my friends and they're supporting me big time.

  • @TeamRickAstley4Ever To you and any other kid : Do not tell your parents unless you are safe. Think about the worst case scenario and work from there. If they kick you out on the spot, what are you going to do next? Hopefully it won't be like that, but be prepared.

  • I'm a 20 year old alien.... and I've told my parents twice now.... and they just won't get it =\

My mother doesn't really like it, my father doesn't care either way because he knows there's nothing he can do. They keep acting like I've never said a thing.... and I'm sick of hiding who I am from them

  • I've know since I was 15.. I was a 15 year old alien... videos like these make me feel a little more human. Thank You!

  • I'm a 18 year old alien.

  • First of all, WHY ARE PEOPLE BRINGING GOD INTO THIS??? As if that's an excuse??? Get OVER it, already! Being gay is COMPLETELY okay! We are in the 21st century! What is the BIG deal about being gay? They're humans! They have feelings and dreams and thoughts too! So shut UP.

  • @InsaneSouthAsian I bet the philosophers of the 17th century didn't think religion would last this long! It honestly is a damn shame that people would base their lives around a fairy tale.

  • I am a LESBIAN and being borned in a world where I hear ever so often how wrong homosexuality is and how homosexuals will burn in HELL...All HOMOPHOBICS answer me this...Why would I have purposefully chosen to be a LESBIAN ?

  • something people have to understand is that the bible wasnt written by God, the all knowing being. it was written by many prophets over many centuries, and has been interpreted, reinterpreted, edited over and over. that being said, a good interpretation of why the bible ever did condemn homosexuality is because back in the day, there werent many people. for a people o survive, there had to be high pregnancy rates, because there was a lower infant mortality rate. every sperm was sacred. no longer

  • @luvthetunesmannn and you know this how ?

  • @f4egreenteam Its common sense. People are always creating laws necessary for the times, and those eventually become antiquated and are repealed. Also, Humans (especially those in power, as religious elite have been for centuries) cannot take an unbiased view and do something for someone else. any pope or prophet could use the same 'god came to me through a dream' excuse to pass any religious law they thought was a good idea.

  • @luvthetunesmannn i understand what your saying.. and im guessing your a non-believer of Jesus Christ ? yeah i do believe the pope is a fraud. but the laws we have today arent religious or have anything to do with religion, Back in the day, there were MILLIONS of people, how can you tell me there werent? God condemned homosexuality because its not what he planned. I understand where your coming from i do, i guess it comes down to your own beliefs & values. we all have a choice

  • @f4egreenteam Out of everything in the world- how is homosexuality the only thing unplanned by god? the one thing he didnt forsee and try to stop? and it isnt a choice. have you ever chosen not to feel attracted to someone? not to love someone? is that pain what god had planned for those who do feel the way they feel? thats not just ignorant and stupid- thats a completely cruel and brutal opinion.

  • I would venture to guess that the people who have negative comments on this just dont get it. Maybe you should actually read her book Like Me...because unless you have been through it you dont understand! Being gay is not a choice...if it was would myself and the plenty of other LGBT people choose it? I am not ashamed of who I am, but I wouldnt have chosen it because life would have been so much simpler if I could have just married a man. Life is not easy or fair, but God made me the way I am!

  • He's bold, but he ain't beautiful :p

  • what book did she hold up that ellen's mom wrote?

  • @kaitlinlong94 its called loving ellen

  • she said fourteen year old girl, & i lost it. i cried, for abiut a hiour.

  • People fear what they do not understand, but it is not up to us to make them understand who we are. It is only up to us to LOVE ourselves and who we are.

  • She is a hot lesbian. But, I hope that she does not end up someone looking like Rosie O'Donnell.

  • I would like to see her in a porno.

  • Love knows No boundaries. This I believe .But when those boundaries are sometimes pressed hard like a son telling his dad that he is gay ,is very hard for anyone to say just forget about dad. I would be floored,to say the least .I would still love him ,but to say it is OK? It is not . Your gay ,so what, your gay. Just don`t tell me it`s normal. Am I judging you? No, some things you just discern things are wrong or abnormal. Like hey why is thing doing that ?It should be done this way,am I wrong?

  • Do you have any money or anything to ripen someone

  • I don't have a problem with gay people and i don't judge them and it's none of my business!

But if my son or daughter turned out to be gay, they are out of the house, disowned and all ties broken... Because now i'm minding my own business.... I won't judge you unless you'r my family. fair enough?

  • @rixuddinreedoy if you dont have a problem with gay people then why would you disown your gay child? contradicting id say...

  • @cupcakebeautiful I don't have the right to judge people, it's not my life and they won't harm me so why would i have a problem? If it's my family however, it does affect me in some way, and in my culture and religion it's not only forbidden but also despised to have attraction toward the same sex.... now i would't call it contradiction really...

  • @rixuddinreedoy the only way a family member of yours being gay can affect you is the knowledge that you are blood related to them and that should NOT change any relation. It's not like they killed someone. It is NOT an abomination because it is NOT a choice. Tell me sir (I am going to assume you are a man because you cannot accept a gay family member, sexist I know but I'm a dude too) at what exact point in your life did you DECIDE to be hetero? Oh yeah, you didn't. because...

  • @rixuddinreedoy ...you CANNOT choose what or who you love. Saying that being gay is a choice and therefore an abomination is like saying that it takes several moments for you to DECIDE if you like the taste of a spoonful of ice cream that you just put into your mouth. What you like comes NATURALLY. It's all in your brain.

  • @futurejockey8 This is exactly why i would never discriminate against any OTHER homosexuals, because i knw it's nt a choice. Wat i do understan is tht if on of MY family members turns out to be gay,i will hav to be the monster you think i am, because it just is not acceptable in the society i live in, this one simple fact that my son/daughter is gay will and may bring shame and disgrace in the family. I know it sounds awful, and i probably sound awful as well, but somethings in life are not fair.

  • @rixuddinreedoy My brother is gay - my mom suspected he was ever since he was 5 years old although my father, raised in a traditional Irish Catholic home, refused to believe it. He came out to me when he was 13, I was 10. I was a bit shocked at first and I resented him but we share blood and I love him. I could never allow my parents to kick him out. My brother suffers from anxiety and sever depression (he is now 19 years old) and has been suicidal. Imagine if you grew up...

  • @rixuddinreedoy without a father! I think that if my father rejected him - my mother would have always accepted him no matter his NATURAL sexuality - my brother would have killed himself that day he ran off with a knife in my neighborhood. You are NOT doing anything wrong by supporting and standing by your dependent child. They NEED you. I would never let MY child kill themselves or die homeless on the street because of a simple belief system and what it says in a fairy book.

  • @futurejockey8 But u see that is where we seem to have a difference in opinion, what you believe to be a 'fairy book', is a way of life and instructions on how we should spend it. It's not about specific groups or individuals. it's about the belief we posses. Again we shouldn't judge others as it does not belong in your priorities. BUT you have to make sure you personally follow the path that you believe in, which is exactly what i think i will do. Though i am sorry to hear your situation.

  • @rixuddinreedoy I respect that you do not judge others, as many who "follow" the Bible do. I do believe in God, but I do not believe anything in the Bible is his words. If anything, I am a Nonliteralist Christian although I doubt any Christians will be happy that I take that title. I've never heard of any verse in the Bible stating that you must reject and expel all disobeying family members. My God is a loving one and loves everything that he creates.

  • @futurejockey8 It is really good to see you argue so powerfully for what is obviously right. For those who do not dismiss the Bible, the story of "The Prodigal Son" shows that God loves and sticks close to his children no matter what.

  • @markreilly52 Thank you, sir. I probably wouldn't be fighting so hard if I never learned of my brother's homosexuality or how my mother's cousin is also a lesbian and married to her soulmate. I would guess that with advancing sciences slowly proving that any sexuality other than hetero is genetic, the religious feel guilty as they produced this "abomination" with their own bodies' actions and genetic codes. Again, thank you for your support. It means a lot to me.

  • @futurejockey8 I read the story of the prodigal son over and over and over. No-one who claims to be a Christian can fail to see how NOTHING matters to the Father except the restoration of relationship with his child. Love has a way of overcoming and breaking down many of our certainties.

  • Hello Alien, We are alike...............

  • I'm like you and so is my female partner, Jane Love from Katexxx

  • Don't Cry!

  • "My dad is walking in the footsteps of Betty DeGeneres."

    Lovely.

  • 7:03 ellen looks a litttle too absorbed heh

  • 5:42 She sounded like she was about to cry and it broke my heart. </3 I've never heard of this singer, or at least never payed her much attention, but now I know for sure who I'm looking up on another tab. <3

  • I came out in Oct. as a 22 yr old from one of the most conservative areas from Kentucky. I wish I would have stood up to the bigotry & bullying, instead "tolerated it". If you ever need anything, message me. It does get better. You will realize that, even if it takes you while.

  • Suddenly I want to start listening to country music. :) Specifically hers.

  • femme, thin, long blond hair... pretty. she´s ellen´s type of girl ;)

  • 0:36 - Ellen is so checking her out :D but I don't blame her, Chely is gorgeous

  • @TheRealGrandMoss ahhha she totally has a quick glance at her ass!

  • @TheRealGrandMoss yeah Ellen was checking out Chely's ass....and yes Chely is GORGEOUS!!!

  • I had no idea Chely is gay .. so proud of her for coming out like she did. =)

  • She is beautiful. What a great human being.

  • What inspirations. Love em both.

  • <3

  • *The weirdest feeling ever*

-Im a 14 year old female

    -In my bedroom

-Who feels like an alien with my whole family.

  • @KiloMicMusic I know the feeling...

  • @KiloMicMusic This is me. right now. and has been for the past month.

  • @ScienceOrFaith But hey , it gets better, i told my mom a while back , and her exact words were "Okay. Oh look biggest loser is back on!" lol

  • @KiloMicMusic i'm 18. the feeling hasnt changed.

  • @KiloMicMusic Don't ever let anyone tell you that there's something wrong with you. There's not. You're beautiful and perfect just the way you are, and, even though we've never met, even though we never will, I love you. You're not an alien, you just haven't found your people yet. There's plenty of time and I promise you everything will work out just fine x

  • @KiloMicMusic Why?

  • Chely is a really great singer. She has an amazing voice. One of my fave songs is

    " I Already Do". A Guam fan.

  • I met her at a Wounded Warrior's Conference in Disney World when I was in the 8th grade at the House of Blues years ago. She is such a strong and proud woman. I look up to her, more than ever now.

  • Today I was in the car with my mum and it said on the radio that soldiers in the army are allowed to be openly gay. She said it was "disgusting" and turned over. The she said "you wouldn't want another man after you when you're in the army would you?" I didn't bother to say anything and then she said "Gay people just want more than equality". This is why I hate her so much.

  • @hello10577 our moms have so much in common, but please don't hate her for being ignorant. Try to make her understand you. And if that won't work, SCREW HER AND MOVE OUT xD just don't hate her, it won't do you any good.

  • @Pizuzuzimmer You should be ashamed of yourself. She was not made a lesbian by being raped. She wasn't made a lesbian at all. She was born that way.

  • Let's face it, I'm not going to be around forever. I will not always be a teacher to my child.

Most children think of their fathers as heroes.

Facing your father is a true form of heroism.

I only hope that, if/when my child comes out to me, I make a worthy student.

  • As a father in the modern world, Chely's story of coming out to her parents is one of those things I'm constantly measuring myself against: "What would I say to my child if/when they ever come out to me? How would I react?"

But, y'know, honor and courage come in all forms and to stand there and to tell a parent, "I'm gay," or "I'm trans-gender" not knowing how they're going to react, it takes courage beyond the years of a teenager to do that.

  • @Jgrado1 i've told my kids, that i would never care if they were gay. i would be worried, just because people are mean, but they're still my babies. i'm pretty sure they aren't, but it doesn't matter. i would feel like the worse failure possible of a mother, if my kids felt they had to hide something so important about themselves from me.

  • @CowPantsable

We are all bound for the heavens, eventually. How we get there, of course, is entirely up to us.

For many, being homosexual is a stage where fate says, "You have the rest of your life to decide how you live. What are you going to do? Do you spend your life alongside the world, in shadows and in doubt? Or do you stand your ground and face the world with the person you love? What are you going to do?"

Man lost the ability to hurt God long ago. Today, we can only hurt each other.

  • @Jgrado1 Thank you alot for this comment. I guess I'm still not fully accepting of myself, you helped

  • You know what I disliked when I Came out as Bi. My Mothers response "No you are not."

The other thing that bugged me is how can my Dad be ok with it and my Mom not? Its hurt our relationship. Yesterday we were in one of the major towns in our area and she saw the way I looked at a guy then at a girl and said "Pick a side!!!" a walked out of the mall we were in.

Question to all you is it wrong that I don'tpick a side? Help.....

  • @ChelseaWynne

It's not wrong at all, dear. You can't change who you are. You're mom just grew up in a different time when people drilled into everyone's heads that being part of the LGBT community was wrong. It's not. You're mother will have to learn to accept you and try to understand you.

  • @Yesss8 Yeah thats true. :D

  • thats what on the bottle?

  • Lev 20:13? It's funny, this verse says nothing about women? Hmmm. Maybe, just maybe u won't be stupidly, ignorantly, prejudiced enough to continue reading this passage out of it's original Canaanite context it was originally written in.

If ur gonna cherry pick ( and out of context at that) pick the sour ones that apply to u such as the verse that prevents intercourse during the menstrual cycle, which goes directly against the Catholic excuse known as the Rhythmic Method.

    U disgust me u so

  • I know not all christians are homophobes. Thank God for them.

  • Congratulations!!

    I see the hopes:-)

  • hot ass lesbo

  • She, like all the others who have come out, is so brave. This interview is inspiring.

  • I just wanna give her a hug. What a sweet girl.

  • When you string together enough adjectives and nouns to define an entity, I guess you can say you are uniquely that entity. kd always let her masculine side show -- short-short hair, no make-up, body language, whatever. She teased about her sexuality in formal interviews, but would casually mention "her girlfriend" at other times. Chely has a very compelling story as a feminine lesbian coming out -- it's impossible for me to imagine the horrors she went through. But, come on ...

  • I"ve never heard of Chely Wright until today. I know what it's like, growing up being told that homosexuality is wrong in God's eyes.

  • All you so-called "Christians" who insist on bashing gay people: maybe you could share with us what Jesus Christ said about homesexuality--you know, just to set the record straight??

Oh wait...He didn't say ANYTHING about it. So if Jesus Himself didn't feel the need to pass judgement, then what gives YOU the right?

  • @sprice676 Well Jesus Didn't say it. But god did. "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination" (Leviticus 18:22). "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them" (Leviticus 20:13) . I Am Not hating on the homosexuality I Support Everything. It's There Decision . But Just So You Know! GOD. Said Something About It. Read A Bible..

  • @mayah513 I have read the bible, and you should know that the word commonly translated as "abomination" meant something closer to unusual, or not commonly done, rather than forbidden.

  • @mayah513 yeah and it isn't a choice we are how we were born. And as for it being "wrong" I strongly disagree. People try to say that its a choice or "free will" which yes it says in the Bible humans have free will...it also says beasts (animals) do not have free will but can only abide by the will of God....so that said...explain why there are gay animals if its an "abomination". I am a Christian and proudly a lesbian.

  • @lilchichiboo no disrespect but how can you be a christian and a proud lesbian? how can you believe in God and be a christian , when it clealy says in the bible that homosexuality is wrong ? and you being a christian you know very well it says in the bible.

  • @mayah513 God didn't write the bible... i'm sure we all know that it was man made.... and will continue to be changed by man. don't u think?

  • @shiza88 Actually, it was written by God. More or Less he talked to the people. So they wrote it for him in his words..

  • @sprice676 im christian and bisexual so dont say all Christians cause im gay and proud

  • @sprice676 The Bible simply says that God designed a man and a woman to be together, and that is the was it is supposed to be, and that is what we were created for. I am a strong Christian , and though I don't support the decision of homosexuality, I would never 'bash' anyone. I do not look down on those people even if I don't support them.

  • Why do people keep saying Wright is the first out country music singer? k.d. lang has been out for years.

  • @Qwofacenosehead k.d. lang isn't really mainstream country.

  • @sprice676 "Mainstream" or not, her first Grammy was for country music.

  • @Qwofacenosehead My point is that she isn't widely known or recognized in the country music world. Not that it matters really. It has to be tough for anyone in country music to come out knowing that the majority of fans in their industry lean towards religious conservatism.

  • She comes on to talk about coming out and they play her song about looking for a man over her entrance.

See what you did there, Ellen.

  • what does she say is in her father's bottle at 3:00?

  • @pooball87 chewwin tobacco

  • @pooball87 She said it was Chewing Tobacco.

  • These people are amazing :D

  • wow, good for her. that must have been sooo hard.

  • at 5:17 what s the name of the song she s talkin about?

  • She is a REALLY strong person. Its becouse of people like her that I got the strenght to come out as bisexual. I love the song Like Me and I love Ellen =D This was AMAZING to watch =D

  • @reachall no, they just don't want a man.

  • I feel so sorry for people like HighwayToHeavenfan. They have been badly brainwashed into hating people. Idk what I can do to help.. ;-;

  • I am on my internet knees begging everyone reading these comments not to think all Christians are like HighwaytoHeavenfan. There are some of us who actually grasp the concept of 'Love thy neighbor.'

  • @snorklefishful Exsacly!! Im there with you :)

  • @snorklefishful Bless you. Listen to this message, everyone.

  • @snorklefishful So what does "Love thy neighbor" mean to you?

  • @snorklefishful internet knees? lol

  • @snorklefishful Too bad that such people are always the ones that shout the loudest isn't it?

  • Now lets ask our selfes another very important question if you asked Ellen does she believe in Jesus as her personal lord and savior what would she say to that response would she say she believes or would she say she is her own god?

  • @HighwaytoHeavenfan When do we round up all the divorced adulterers in this country highway boy. Every time in life you interact with a divorced person and you don't call them out as a vile sinner who according to leviticus god wants you dead, then you are a bible cheery picking hypocrite. Divorced people are adulterer's according to YOUR bible they need to be put to death. Why are you not following the teachings of leviticus, won't that send you to hell?

  • Lets ask our self a very important question why is ellen so famous and is she blessed by God or is her glory and fame come from the evil one and of the world?

  • Wow ellen gets gayer and gayer everytime you see her i mean seh practically is trying to look like a man nowadays lol. and Just like her to start showing off who she really is now bring up country stars who are comming out gay, I dont watch this ladies show any way

  • @HighwaytoHeavenfan Dude if you don't watch the show why did you watch this link and then post to it?

  • @HighwaytoHeavenfan You think removing your recent history is going to stop me. You need your nose shoved in your own shit highway fag boy. I fully plan on shoving your ignorant Jesus loving uneducated face deep into your own shit jesus boy. Squeal jesus boy squeal as god rams his powerful cock up your ignorant religious believing ass. squeal cunt squeal. Every one of you jesus fucks needs your face smashed in to make this a better world

  • @NCCAJAX Its already stopped you you been stopped lol. Thats why your so upset and raging i rebuke the demons in you in the name of Jesus you have no power no athority over me now Nccajax i well tell all my christian sisters to now stalk you in return with prayer may all my Christians brothers and sisters pray for your salvation and you be freed from the demons who torment you now you have choice either leave and shut your trap or be prayed for so ends this topic. Your choice.

  • @HighwaytoHeavenfan You do realize I consider you to be a genuinely bad person on many levels. You are one of those people who make the world a little bit worse.

  • @NCCAJAX oh and your such a good person is that right? were not the one saying i want cock in my mouth? Did you not claim i have homosexual tendencies? I have no idea what your talking about you say? Is that right im pretty sure you said i want cock in my mouth but you channell is filled with cocks in fact some of your friends put up female porn you have subscribed too and yet you say no i dont know what your talking about ok then jax.

  • @NCCAJAX Sixth evil thing about your a guy who likes to wear drag. Seventh evil thing about you worship baal gods. Eighth evil thing about you have pet spider called mormo. Ninth evil thing about you threaten people when you dont get you way using the word maker. Tenth evil thing about you consult adversaries for adivce.

  • @HighwaytoHeavenfan ill tell u what evil is . shut the hell up and get LOST !!!

HA WELL IM EVIL AND I LIKE IT !!!!!!!

  • @NCCAJAX Jax i can point tons of things wrong with you and making you also a evil person you claim i am.

One evil thing about you judged me. Second evil about you are addicted to porn. Third evil thing about you you stick up for gay rights how ever you call other people fags. Fourth thing evil about you consult with mediums and sooth sayers. Fifth evil thing about your a homo your self.

  • Ohhh GOD im 15 and i started crying

  • This lust-pimping Jezebel decided to become gay in order to advance her career, but she misjudged her audience: most country fans are virtuous Christians who do not fall for these kinds of cheap publicity tricks. As she herself said it: "There's a reason no country artists are coming out."

  • @BanGayMarriage = registered hater on you tube, pls register also with the safety option

  • @BanGayMarriage : Drop your "holier-than-thou" attitude, buddy. Nobody is buying it. And get off your high horse while you're at it.

  • @BanGayMarriage Tammy Wynette, the epitome of a true country music lady, must be looking down from Heaven sickened by this!

  • @BanGayMarriage

Oh, you're such a holy person. Please get a life! And to name your channel "BanGayMarriage" shows me you are obsessed with being anti-gay. The most anti-gay people I know are deeply in the closet. So come out LOL.

  • @BanGayMarriage And that reason is the stigma attached to being gay most often would mean the end of their career.

  • She's so pretty :D

  • Read her book. Regardless of whether you like country music or not, Chely Wright is an awesome person.

  • @8ball627 Yes she is, I just love her to pieces.
