why in the world would you do this knowing such little information about it?? you knew so little that you were asking for advice on here about something as huge as "harvesting" a baby for someone else... i don't get it.
@folieadeux8381 I did a ton of research, the fact is there is only so much you can read about a subject, most of this experience is different for each person so reading about it will only get you so far. And, as far as your question about "why wold i do this", why wouldnt you? I have it in my heart that I was ment to be a surrogate, some things you do just because it is the right thing to do. If its not obvious in your heart, then its not right for you.

I think being a surrogate is a wonderful thing. You are so courageous to do this. I have not be a surrogate but currently going through IVF. I would assume that your first appointment is just kind of like a check up. Probably bloodwork and maybe an ultrasound. I know before I started IVF, there was some preliminary stuff to be done before getting started.
