Quick question, is there a top speed in EV mode before the Generator turns on in the first 40 miles? I mean is it all electric up to say 85mph for the first 40 or so?
@scribklu Hey there, nope well the Volt supposedly can only go up to 100mph as its top speed. But you can drive at any speed up to 100mph in all electric without using any gas. So yes you can drive 85mph and still be under electric power using no gas. The gas generator will kick in once you have driven already 40 miles distance, and you still need to go further.
