  • 1284-Thats when King Edward the First (Longshanks) was king! My fav king!

  • I really didn't know "Oh Come,Oh Come Emanuel" dated this far back! One of my favourite christmas hymns as a kid,& I certainly don't date back to the Tudor times, lol. Oh,and can people please their Islamophobia for another upload?!

  • @popazz1 some people feel that "O Come....." dates actually to Henry II, In any event this is my all time favourite Carol. I would love to hear it in the "Old English" of their time. I think it would be incredible.

  • @regszikora,

Interesting fact that it may date even further back! As for hearing it in the original English of the time maybe Google would be a place to start!

  • Has anyone happened to figure out what the soldier song was? Or maybe someone could tell me a line of it so I could search it. I'm quite dreadful at picking lyrics out of singing.

  • @cyanidearsenic

The name of the song is "Adam lay i-bowndyn." The difficulty in picking out lyrics is most likely due to the fact that he is singing it in Middle English.

  • You mean the fucking moslems haven't gotten 'offended' and had the government shut down these productions?

  • Britons are lucky. There are so many interesting historical places to visit in that country that it must take forever to see them all. I'd love it!

  • Wonderful!

  • what is the song the soldier songs at the end i love it

  • @Tekirai - I haven't heard it before. Maybe Google it?
