This must be a cut up version unless the shellback ceremony has been softened from when I went through back in WestPac 88 - CVN 70. Though this does remind me of a similar ceremony. Our uniforms were so ruined we stripped the remnants of the clothes and threw them over the side and ran naked back to the berthing/showers.

What little fun sailors have with each other is part of our pride, this is nothing compared to the floating prison, isolation, grueling hours, drills, operations, maintenance, repairs, and extreme weather condition most sailors experience at sea. I crossed the equater with women on board the Constellation in 93. The women had a private ceromony and no guys were allowed to see it. They were to worried about another tailhook

There were videos made of the "Talent Show" during our (USS Cape Cod) first west pac back in 1982. Shared knowledge of these videos would be appriciated as I did "Elvis" on the flight deck that day. What a good time back then.

Dude, I was on the cod when this video was made. If you notice at the start ,our E.O. was a wog. The C.M.C. followed her everywhere! I.E. She is in uniform. No Spanking went on. They even blacked out the mermaid's tits on the certificates!
