On reviewing the images of Dreamland up until the late '80's, this poor excuse of an amusement park resembled nothing more than a glorified street fair. No real effort appears to have been afforded. The neglect was obvious, as was the intent for the future purpose of the occupied land.
The unique thrill rides which dominated the park were long gone by the late '90's, replaced with cheap generic travelling rides. What a sad conclusion for what was once a massive attraction in the South East.
@mrfreeze010694 he owned dreamland,, and he burt the scenic railway down to try and use the land for something else,,, and he couldnt have it removed because it is a listed building
Jimmy godden killed dreamland, like everything else he owns.
Dont play in the arcades there or else you are just lining his pockets with cash to close down more attractions and turn them into carparks and derelict land.
Woop I've been there look at 1.12 to the end I went on that..:D Unfortunatly the rollercoaster wasn't open and I really wanted to go on it...:'( Loveage xx P.S BRING BACK DREAMLAND TO MARGATE. XXX

the 'star wars episode 4' video wipes in this video sum up dreamland perfectly. don't get me wrong, i fuckin loved the place during my early 80's childhood. but frankly if you let thoughtless shit-holes like thorpe fuckin park and chessington zoo surpass you, you deserve to be an empty car park.
omfg i remember looping star, last time i went was when i was lyk 7 or 8 (now 15) looping star was my very first rollercoaster with a inversion i loved it, the big wheel was wicked so big, and the ladybird ride, omfg tht was brill, but i remember most sky master, i never gt to go on it, but me brother and sisters did, and i was so jealous. im surprised it has big rides like a drop tower, a samari sort of ride and the spinning one (dont no names of corse)
when i first moved to ramsgate the benbom brothers ran it and it rocked! i loved the mary rose, and the scenic railway is a sacred coaster, has to be kept!!!
MARGATE!! Wooo hooo! lol, I haven't been there for about 12 years :( I've heard it's not good as it used to be, The looping star has gone, same with the BIG wheel, the Mary Rose is no longer there. A good old British seaside attraction falling into a state of irreversable delapidation! The scenic railway is the oldest coaster in the UK and the second oldest in the world, it's grade II listed as well now! What will happen to it if they do decide to close Dreamworld for good?
