@italianman004 Bush wasn't actually responsible for the economic crisis. You can't blame it on him. There are certain things that are beyond a presidents control.
I would put in your 8 or 9 reasons why Mc Cain lost is that he voted for the Bailout bill which had pork in it. Mr. "I am against big govt. and pork" voted for the bill which a lot of republican senators did not vote for. Obama, Hillary, and Biden (all Democrats) voted for the bill. If Mc Cain didn't vote for the $700 billion bailout bill, he probaby would have won or done better at least. Good video by the way.
All good reasons but not so sure about the evangelicals staying home. I know that was a big concern before the convention, but I think McCain energized them well enough with his choice of Palin. And if I wasn't a lazy bastard I'd get off my duff and actually look it up to prove my point. :-)
You can't blame Bush for causing the financial crisis - I guess - but you can certainly blame Bush for not seeing it coming. Couldn't Bush have at least delayed the crash for a few weeks until after the election?
The Republicans took credit for everything that happened to go right during Bush's terms, even if we was only a spectator. That's what happens when someone is in charge - they get too much credit and too much blame. But they can't take one without the other.
You forgot about McCains anger. He was very temperamental

Could the fact that Palin was govenor of a State that many people did not regard as being consistant with national values been a factor?
brocky70 2 years ago
I doubt it. I don't think people were looking at what state she was from as a reason that they didn't want to vote for the Republican ticket.
