  • the Judy garland's song!

  • What a crap voice and what a crap show.

  • Teaching Ethel to sing is like trying to teach Meryl Streep or Marlon Brando how to act! She doesn't need lessons nor did she ever take them in her life.

I love her face from the beginning to 0:06. She's like "WTH?! This is my song!"

  • @chattymagpie1210 Hahaha, I loved the ending of the video the most, she finishes, and looks at Lucy like, "Well?"

  • I wish they had the entire episode of this. Both ladies were talented and spectacular. RIP Lucy and Ethel.

  • i love this one(: along with ethel merman on THAT GIRL. Even though I adore Lucille Ball, I have to admit, I like the episode of THAT GIRL better(:

  • Great clip, thanks for posting. When I was a kid they'd play Lucy re-runs early in the morning, and I clearly remember this episode. I had no idea what an Ethel Merman was before then. I decided on a whim to see if youtube had it -- of course they did, youtube has EVERYTHING.

  • @krazkjn No prob :D

  • The song is "I Got Rhythm" (1930), music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, from the Broadway musical _Girl Crazy_; it is not "I've Got Rhythm."

  • @BigNoiseFromWinnetka I appreciate the correction, but we're only talking two letters here...
