  • too much memories......

  • f3

  • @test22396 ...?

  • fffff

  • The boss is called "Black Ghost"? So you're fighting the ghost of Tupac Shakur?

  • @TheAb0rtionist Or maybe Cyborg 009's archenemy Black Ghost.

  • JUNO, VULCAN ^^

    old times on ps1

  • best game of its kind

  • holy crap this game was hard.. i could never finish it.. lol fun though

  • @Jehuty989 finished it on easy mode

  • At 2:16, you break through the exosphere, and all of Earth's gravity is lost as you ascend into outer space.

  • When I first heard this, I could've sworn this was the final boss. Breathtaking peice of music.

  • @hypothesis10 Why are you linking to an ISO of the Japanese version of the game?

  • Comment removed

  • @HoneycombAgent I'll do what the fuck ever I want.

  • Comment removed

  • @HoneycombAgent If this comment linking to an ISO is still there it's because I want it there. "Please do not link to rom sites" 2 months later hahaha this comment will stay there, Einhänder is an old game and not even Squeenix gives a shit anymore if anyone downloads it

Go post your shit on TPB's Wii or PS3 game torrents

  • @HoneycombAgent LMAO go ahead and block me if that makes you feel better dickhead. what a funny move to go out of your way and tell me tho LOL like if I would've ever commented on any of your shitty vids

  • @Rovelius Yeah, WTF? Link to an american version! How rude!

  • The battle with this boss is awesome!!!

  • @einherjer I hope you realise that wikipedia's don't count. :)

  • Great game and great sounds track to bad the teaser at the end of the game never came to fruition.

  • @einherjer

how about a nice bowl of SPAGHETTI ? cause nothing comes close to Big Rigs' failure rate of over 9000

you can go back in time in that game while driving to oblivion -.- that makes it the best game of all times dood.

  • @einherjer well fuck, I thought that was Big Rigs Over the Road Racing

  • @einherjer o rly?

    >being sarcastic

JC2 sucks compared to Einhänder anyway

  • @einherjer o rly?

  • Psone demo disc lol

  • @titmongle You know it :)

  • I am still wondering, if SquareEnix should make more games that are not RPG related, iI want to see what els they can do,

  • @VTwinty Just Cause 2 could be an example

  • One of my favorite sound tracks while fighting a giant satellite shooting colorful lasers of doom at you...Grenade/Flash is your best friend here...

  • @AzureXuchilbara Though you can't get Flash anywhere near the stage 6 boss. Unless you really want to carry it all the way from stage 3 or 5, or just be a wuss and use pre-loaded weapons.

  • @NightbugCreations

"or just be a wuss and use pre-loaded weapons."

Hell yes...After getting the "Selene" Einhander, I equipped a Juno and a Flash and just massacred all the bosses for all the sh*t they made me go through in Hard Mode...

I especially made them suffer by taking them a part piece-by-piece...Oh...So...Slowly...

  • Please, everyone knows that 12 is where the REAL difficulty is.

Even easy mode can be genuinely hard at certain points.

Of course, I'm a casual-yet-serious player, so Your Mileage May Vary.

And for the record, I rarely deathbomb, and I somehow subconciously force myself into No-Vert runs no matter what, even if i don't want to, I invariably wind up doing so anyhow.

Really comes in handy on 11's "Storm on Mt Ooe" though.

  • Einhander easy? no way...darius, even raystorm are easier than Einhander

i couldn't finish this game in normal mode:(

  • @jeabl RAYSTORM? Easier than Einhander?! Get outta here...

  • @Figroliun is easier except the 13 ships mode

  • Einhander is much easier than most side scrolling shooters, Ikaruga on the Dreamcast gave me migranes compared to Einhander. All in all tho Einhander was very innovative and had a beautiful soundtrack.

  • Comment removed

  • best shooter based on blade runner art out there

  • Loved this game. Still do. If they could re-make it, shine it up all purdy, and re-mix the soundtrack I'd def go spend the 40-50-60 bucks to get it again.

SquareEnix needs to get outside the comfort zone of RPGs and do more experiments like Einhander and Ehrgeiz

  • @NorseViking84

YES ! But don't touch the OST plz.

  • @Rovelius D0ont touch any of it, I'd buy it as it was back then, just release for the PSN, along with Parasite Eve and most of SquareSoft's games that were actually good.

  • @NorseViking84 one of the craziest ride in my life. the music helps

  • @NorseViking84 leave the soundtrack alone and yeah this would be a perfect rebuff for the 360 and ps3

  • @NorseViking84 for some reason nobody liked this fuckign game till it was too late..its so dope!

  • @NorseViking84 Yes... except for the re-mix thing. The soundtrack is fine the way it is...

...I don't even really care if the graphics aren't updated either, but that's just me...

  • NICEEEEEEEEEE SOUNDTRACKK!!

Ohhh i remember my times playing this game, i finished this game like 800 times in my life and only for listen this sountrack xD!!!

  • PresidentBagel

I'll have to second that. I've done that also.

Once you can handle the harder shooters out there, believe it or not, Einhander isn't that hard to complete.

In fact, that's the only way I play. I don't consider a shmup completed until i can do it without dying or at least without continuing.

If you have the resolve to practice on shmups like Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga or Darius Gaiden. I'm certain you'll be able to do that also. But who has that kind of time anymore anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • There's a game today that I regard as giving Einhander a run for its money. It lacks Einhander's innovative weapons system, but implements attacks from/attacking the background better - whilst still keeping to Einhander's shifting perspective style.

The game's called Ether Vapor, for the PC, by Doujin Circle Edelweiss.

  • My favorite boss in this game is Sturmvogel, the big ship/walker thing after you destroy the enemy base's reactor

  • This game was the first game Ive ever thrown controller across the room with. When I was young I struggled with the 2nd boss and eventually returned it to the store.

  • Lol. You just aren't headstrong enough... I got this game when I was 8, by the time I was 11 I could complete it on Hard without losing a single life.

And honestly, Einhander got to be one of the easiest schmups around.

  • Can you honestly do this? I've never in my entire life seen video footage of anybody having unlocked the E.O.S. fighter. And beating it on hard without dying at all is even more ridiculous.

  • @PresidentBagel

Yes, it's possible and very easy for me. I play Touhou 8 which is hundreds of times harder than Einhänder.

  • @Rovelius

not to go far off topic but 8 is arguably the easiest with deathbombs being really easy to perform, while einhander doesn't have said deathbombs

most shmups are easier with some memorization on what's coming up ahead and how to deal with the next area.

  • The bosses are the big challenge of 8 and deathbombs alone won't get you through the game on the higher difficulties. What will is are your skills of dodging bullets, which are far vastly more present than they could ever be in Einhänder, and patience to memorize everything. However, the latter applies to all schmups so it's not worth mentioning.

lol wut, Einhänder harder than 8?

  • @Rovelius

einhander doesn't have the deathbombs. the main point about that is that said deathbombs can and will provide players enough insurance to make it through to later levels, even past several boss spellcards.

that's also to mention that they're two vastly different shmups, since horizontal and vertical shmups generally follow a different style - horizontal like to include obstacles to avoid, while vertical are more about pure action and killing things.

  • if you wanted to mention a touhou game to be challenging, at least say something like 11 or 7. the bosses aren't even that bad in that game in comparison to the others.

  • That wasn't even my intention as I only played 8. I wanted to establish the fact that Einhänder is relatively easy by schmup standards.

  • @Rovelius

Relatively, maybe. I bring up the point of memorization, especially with horizontal shmups, being key here, since a game like this is especially much more easier with memorization of where to expect traps or surprises and when.

Sure you applies in Touhou, but once again you have the deathbombs, or just bombs period to apply as an extra buffer for any surprises that may hit you. They're also more reliant on bullets rather than any "traps" to kill you.

  • yeah man einhander really isn't hard if you're able to anticipate movements

  • what's the name of the stingray boss?...the one when after we battle with triangle tank...

  • It's called Salamander if i'm not wrong...

  • I C...i just finish the game....and this is the theme of the satelite boss...ahaha...silly me...i thought this was the theme of Salamander....ehehe...

  • One of the top best shooters in IMO...

This Boss music give me chills man..

    awesome!

  • SEQUEL PLEASE (*COUGH* SQUARE-ENIX)

  • this game is challenging but not even as hard as those japanese arcade shooters

  • It's almost tragic how underrated this game is. I mean with a soundtrack like this, combined with the gameplay and interesting graphics, Einhander could have hit it so much bigger than it did.

  • fer sure, it was the coolest game ever

  • Yeah, this is my absolute favorite PS1 game period. So sad that its greatness is not widely recognized.

  • Is this game worth playing cause i like the soundtrack

  • It's the best Schmup ever. Started playing when I was 10, I'm now 17 and I still play it at least once every weeks. Einhänder is a must.

  • Great but what's schmup do u mean shoot them up ? Also where do i get and for what system is it for and is it hard to beat

  • Yes I mean shoot em up. You can download it from rom-gods (dot) net, it's for PlayStation. It's not really hard on Easy, although most people not used to schmups will say it's near-impossible. If you play schmups often, I'd recommend starting on Normal. Hard for a good challenge.

Btw, the graphics are pretty good for PSX. The art design is pretty similar to Metal Gear's, except more futuristic.

  • Boy thanks for help i really appropriate btw want to friends? I think i'll try this game out and again thanks

  • Sure. And you're welcome.

It would seem I left a comment with my testing account, just pay it no mind.

  • This is my favorite 3D shoot em up. I'm going to have to give the edge to Contra Hard Corps and call that the great shoot em up ever but I can't argue with anyone who says Einhdaner's the best. Damn, this music is good. I just finished this song as I was commenting you.

  • personally i say metal slug is better than contra

  • As a series, I definitely prefer Metal Slug.

  • hell yeah!

  • Hell yeah! Uh what are we talking about??

  • you said it!

  • Touhou Shooter is a True Bullet Hell but Einhanders is wats up XD

  • srry for the late reply haha XD. i started when i was like...6. It was in a playstation demo and i played the trial over and over till i broke the cd..but like a week after my bro got it from his friend and i havent stoppped playin since XD

  • Best side shooter ever made..its hard as SHIT if you aint pro ...your not gonna like it after 2nd stage

  • Its not as hard as gradius, trust me lol.

  • yes its fucking amazing hard to find though

  • @souldevourer

Hard to find? I said where to get it in my previous comments...

  • this song makes me dizzy.....ahh..like in the pac man game...but then i begin to enjoy it..

  • the song gives you a feeling of greatness, as you vaporize your oppenents with the juno and the flash.Let them tremble with the fear called "Einander" :D

  • @CuddlesMcT *Einhänder

  • @BloodFeather that was a year ago lol

  • @CuddlesMcT AND YET U ANSWER =PPPP

  • @BloodFeather please dont necro D:

  • What was cool about this part is it's like, you breached your maximum altitude and you were STILL GOING! It was like fate gave you the one chance to end it all, which you DID! EPIC!

  • i never beat this game used to be 2 hard for me

  • I freaking LOVED this game (And I still do !) but I never finished it... Way too fucking hard for me...

  • Haha, I have the game, and still haven't finished it. I keep getting vaporized by the last boss. T.T

  • by any chance does anyone still have this game? if you do LUCKY BASTARDS lol

    :D

  • I picked one up on eBay about 2 years ago. Not sure how much they go for now, but I was just patient. I lost a few auctions, then I finally won one for about $30. It's complete and the disc is in great shape. It's definitely a keeper.

  • My cousin had it and never played it so she gave it to me. I love it in all honesty. I'd unlock everything but i don't have a Ps1 memory card.

  • Play it on a PS3 if you have one.. You can create a virtual memory card on the system.. If not, I am pretty sure you can find one out there.. It has to be.. Good luck!! The game is out this world awesome!!

  • lol haha..id rather try Ebay cause i dont have a ps3 haha :D

  • You could always get an iso copy and burn the image to a disc legally....ish. Not that I would ever do that >.>

  • I have an actual copy still. Ill burn one for you but your ps1 must be able to play backup games.

  • fortunately it can lol but its aight. i got a copy 2 days ago and im reliving my fun past with it haha. thanks for requesting it tho XD

  • I have an intact copy of it. In fact, I play it whenever I remember it, and that's like once or twice a week :P

  • haha

  • lol i love 1:22- 1:35 Piano FTW lol

  • Love this track, especially from 2:15 on.

  • Actually Rovelius, Thermosphere plays when youre stopping the Strategem Spacecraft. The final boss fight is in fact Zero Gravity

  • Um I never said this played when fighting Hyperion.

  • hmm? well i thought you said this song plays when youre fighting schwargiest..it doesnt btw

  • You're mixing it up. Schwarzgeist (german for Black Ghost) is the Stratagem Spacecraft.

  • OO i c ic my bad bro :D srry for the confusion

  • To clear things up: This song plays during the battle with the Shwartzgeist, the orbital weapon that the Stratagem spacecraft carries. They're two different bosses, with two different themes (the Stratagem's being 'Impatience') and the Shwartzgeist is the final boss if you play the game on easy. IF you play it in normal or hard, THEN you face Hyperion in the extra stage after that, whose tune is 'Zero Gravity'.

Hope that clears all manner of current and future confusion about this.

  • Yeah you're right about Shwartzgeist. However I clearly remember fighting Hyperion on Easy.

  • As do I. Hyperion is in all difficulties i think.

  • Which boss you fight there has nothing to do with the difficulty level. It depends on how you "resolve" the previous stage.

  • Yes that is absolutely true. The things you do decide the outcome.

  • Comment removed

  • That was that thing that looked like the Probe from star wars.

Damn thing used to own me for hours.

  • man i envy my cousin. he still has this game. good luck findin it today. and what stage is the black ghost?

  • This is towards the end, I think. Been awhile since I played.

  • Yeah, it's just before the last stage. It's the big, black spaceship who fire a tons of lasers and missiles. You fight it in orbit above Earth.

    Definitively my favorite boss.

  • That's what I thought. Fun game.

  • Man, this reminds you of how great Square was back in the day.

  • they used to sell the soundtrack on animenation back in the day, i snagged two copies, i had interesting tastes when i was little, still epic shit though

  • 2:15 i never got to hear that part before, cause either me or the boss is dead by then lol

  • I would try my hardest to live and/or not kill the boss so I could hear that part

  • Einhander is AWESOME.

Get a psx emulator and play it on a PC with the volume jacked up, it's trance enducing.

Someone should make a video of techno-viking chilling out to this. :)

  • sick track from the legendary Einhander shooting game.

  • i fucking love this game

  • man, einhander was legendary, they really, should make a remake, hell even an anime!! songs, kick my ass, i'ma remix this album one day ~thz 4 the upload~

  • this would be my story for the sequel

eventually some political problem arises causing the war to reappear eventually it gets to bad for them they are forced to abandon the planet and leave to space

then Einhander as his ship powers up again he goes to explore earth to encounter minimal resistance and as the moon then goes to explore the solar system and finds out that the human race is extinct and something new takes its place id tell you more but im serious about the sequel

  • and this song is definitly gonna appear as a surprise in the sequel

just wait for it im still in high school

    assabet that is

then you can tell your grandkids you spoke to the guy who created the sequel of one of the most amzing games to ever grace video game history and if not perhaps

    THE best game

  • I wish you luck, because you'll probably get farther than I can ever will in the VG industry.

  • I'll be looking forward to it. Best of luck on getting the project to go.

  • Mention me in the credits too

  • fuck man if they dont make a sequel ima make the fuckin sequel

  • i hope your sequel is good

  • What would you make the sequal with? Not to doubt, just curious. Classic shootemups like these are more deserving of sequals than most games that do get it.

  • this is my favourite sound track in the einhander game ^.^ it gets me in a ass kicking mood :P

  • Fast paced techno rythymic feel :P

Nice for getting pumped for a furious 2-d shooter fight :P

could also work well in a Wipeout game, rawr!

  • Wipeout rocks, it would so fit with it.

  • it would have fit for streets of rage.

  • Hell yes, best track in the best shmup ever.

  • my favorite game ever

  • this is the best track of de game

  • Square needs to make an einhander sequel; it was the only thing they've done right since they hit the PS1 era.

The Einhander soundtrack also has some very nice sequencing :3

  • I agree, Einhander is an incredible game that deserves a sequel. You knew that IGN rated it best shoot-em up ever?

  • Nope, I didn't know that. It's definitely worthy of the title. Although, I would have to say that the best shmup goes to Z-Out for the Amiga. It was a really addictive R-Type clone and had some unique boss fights.

  • it was used for CR Galaxy Angel OST

  • yeah, does anyone know where i can get a GOOD torrent of this OST? im downloading one right now, but it stopped at 1.6% complete. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • downloads(dot)khinsider(dot)com

Along with Galbadia Hotel, this is the best website for videogame OSTs

  • thanks, i'll check it out right now.

  • good 2 kno

  • Though they seem to be down lately.

  • really? i'm sure some candy and a warm hug will cheer them up XD

  • By down I mean the websites are offline.

Galbadia Hotel's owner was victim from identity theft, someone stole over 60,000$ from her bank account.

    As for KHinsider, nobody knows.

  • well i was just kiddin' around when i said that but damn that sucks D:

  • Yes it does... you can still get the soundtracks from any Torrent websites but she's not getting her money back any time sooner...

Her name is Sarah on the forums, if you're interested in cheering her up. =)

  • well, i really don't go on forums but tell her i'm really srry and i feel 4 her also tell her 2 try 2 pull in there and 2 keep pushing on, i'll pray 4 her

  • Me too.

  • Donating is on a voluntary base. A lot of people seem to be confusing it with giving out money and/or litteraly paying for it. It's a commen practice on private servers.

  • at least 1 dollar a day

  • No.

Didn't you hear me? People aren't gonna donate more just because you entice them into it. At this point it's not donating anymore because you're advertising the website.

  • i never done anything like that before
