@GKbaby93 Yeah but for Messi its going to be a little more difficult, tactics have evolved... total football (Holland), double diamond formation (Barca) and of course training has become more intense, players are faster and more physically strong than Maradona's time. I think people give Messi a hard time, so I will not make the comparison in ability with Diego, but Diego has a personality no one else had.

One thing about Messi is that, in my opinion, he is not a leader. He is not the leader at Barca, and he certainly was not the leader for Argentina at the 2010 WC. Whereas, Maradona... now there was a leader...! Wow...!!! There are no words to describe even the shear presence that Maradona had. He took control of issues from the scruff of the neck, not just from a footballing sense, but in terms of leadership and determination. I'm not sure I've seen a similar sense of leadership in Messi's eye!
