I heard that Freddie wrote this about his ex-wife Mary. They stayed good friends all of his life and he always referred to her as his soul-mate. Very sweet and sad song.R.I.P. Freddie

They moved in together at one point but she moved out because she was afraid that he wouldn't care about her anymore after the band got popular. But he didn't stop loving her, in his last days he was making sure that she would be secure when he passed on. Really sweet story.
