On this date in 1963 {Mar. 2nd} Andy Williams' "Can't Get Used To Losing You" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it would peaked at #2 {for 4 weeks} and spent 15 weeks in the Top 100...
Ranked 11th on Billboard's Year-End Hot 100 Singles of 1963 chart...
Flip side of this record also charted, "The Days of Wines and Roses
Covered versions; Madeline Bell, Julie London, Skeeter Davis, Bobby Darin, Chad & Jeremy, and Bobby Rydell...
Yes, this is a great post. I was 9 when this song came out, and the melody and song is still hauntingly embedded in my memory. Someone said it looks more like 64 than 69. Perhaps, but the song and Andy Williams weren't from the more common genre of the late 60's, so it would have looked ridiculous if they made a sound stage like Hendrix!
Spectacular song revived by Sons of Anarchy...and used to perfection in an outstanding episode of Season 1; thanks to SOA for bringing this one back into our thoughts.

Do you know that Andy didn't like this song as reported in a recent interview.

I don't think NBC was still using RCA TK-41 cameras in 1969.

This looks more like 1964 rather than 1969.

You can actually get a glimps of a large RCA TK-41 color camera when the audience rotates around.

The original studio single of this was of course released in 1963. Six years later, he still did it justice. Love it!
