I was there, Ronnie sounded AMAZING...and i saw them in Lancaster 2 days ago and Ronnie's voice was amazing...so clearly he can sing live....lancaster was my 3rd time seeing them and i've never heard a bad vocal on his part except from Nov 06-March 07 he had chronic bronchitus, and so his vocals weren't as strong and it was very breathy because he was so sick...but he still rocked it..
Also midnight - he destroyed his voice because he was stupid enough to scream with his entire voice, your not supposed to scream with your entire voice, it leads to things like that happening.
He didn't destroy his voice, he had surgery to correct it and i think he sounds better now than he used to. anyways he damaged it, he didn't destroy it and he sounds fine now
I hope everyone here realizes that he resorts to screaming cause he can't sing for shit...just saying. Try to find one live recording where he hits the same high D like the studio recording. It doesn't exist, cause he can't do it.
The Zootopia video sounds more like the crowd singing those notes. Hard to hear him. I do like that he screamed A LOT less in that video, though. All I'm saying is if you're gonna record a song a certain way, make sure you can pull it off live. Even if he IS hitting those notes in that ONE video, that's one out of 200 performances, he managed to squeeze them out. What good is that?
I think he's capable of it, but it's probably stressful on his voice. It's not wise to spend all of your energy trying to get ONE song perfect when you've got a whole concert to go. I'm sure the CD was recorded over a period of time.
