Hi ...I just had my Gastric Sleeve on May 7th and was released from the hospital yesterday. I'm having severe pain in top part of my stomach when I drink fluids. Did you experience anything like that? The doctors wanted to keep me for two more days but I asked then to send me home. I was going crazy be confined to the hospital room. My in home nurse is scheduled to visit me for a week so I guess Ill be okay.
I do hope that you feel better soon! I tried the toddler cheetos you suggested and you're right...they are a great little crunch! Congrats on the loss too! :D Is the Wii Fit the only scale you use to weigh yourself?
I love the "cheetos" ;) And yes, I only weigh on my Wii Fit each week. It is the most accurate scale I have ever owned!! My regular digital bathroom scale only goes in half pound increments and the Wii Fit goes to a tenth of a pound. It is ALWAYS accurate, and you can even set it to subtract a pound or two automatically to compensate for the clothing you are wearing. Although, I always weigh naked in the mornings to get the most accurate result. Hopefully that wasn't TMI!!! LOL
Well done on your weightloss xx 43lbs is amazing, Although he may not be the best doctor for you at the moment, you need to address the issues that brought you to this place coz once the weight is gone you don't want to go back there! you know what I mean xxx Annaliese
Doctors dont always have the answers, even though they think they do, and sometimes you have to take your health into your own hands. My sister was having this "cough" for 6 months, and it wasnt until she went to the allergy and asthma specialist that she was diagnosed with asthma. She was put on steroids for about a week, and after about 3 days her cough was almost gone. I wish you luck in finding out whatever the cause may be, even if it isnt asthma. Sorry for all the comments, keep us posted!
You can purchase a peak flow meter at any local pharmacy...they are behind the counter (usually) and you do not need a prescription for them (there is no meds involved-it just monitors your lung capacity). You can get a normal peak flow reading for your age, height, gender online. If you are lower then the normal recommended numbers, then you have asthma and you need an inhaler and most likely steroids to help get rid of this coughing attack.
He gave me some steroids (the cough was a dry cough-I was not really coughing anything up, but I had that labored feeling as you do.) I would get a second opinion from an allergy and asthma specialist. My asthma was not in my lungs, per say, you could only hear the wheezing in my bronchial area (between your boobs.) Do you have access to a peak flow meter so you could see what zone you are in?
Great job on the 43 lbs lost...forever!!! btw...the cough sounds like symptoms of asthma. I have asthma btw, and when I get a cough like that from a virus, all the coughing leads to inflammation in my lungs and turns into asthma. My regular dr. did not catch this either, so I went to an allergist. (Part 1)
omg! 43? thats where i am! cool! technically you are beating me because i am 7 weeks out! LOL! well-hhuummpp! *pouts* :( *sighs*) anyhow, good 4 you, great job!
Hey girl you look great. I hope that cough goes soon. I will be with you on the losers bench in 10 days so get ready for me. lol. Always in my prayers BFF.

Hang in there! Great job. I do the hot/cold water thing from time to time when I am feeling blah and it has worked for me, maybe worth a try.
