Creative, thats for sure. However for a trap its not very convenient! I would try moving your pressure plate the the block before you drop, which if you add a SLIGHT delay it shouldnt make to much of a difference. Also, you should try putting it on a pulse, so you dont have to manually reset it. That all being said this video is quite old, so im sure you have improved your traps by now =D
