I will definitely check out that demo. I was always a sucker for those kinds of games. Did you ever play the PC game "Raptor"? It's the same type of top-down airplane shooter, only with an f-16 (or something, i'm not good at model numbers), and you get these crazy awesome subweapons and upgrades to your main weapon, against challenging, but not too bad enemies and bosses. It was very fun!

What he *didn't* mention was 1942's replay value. It has tons of replay value. It's a great game to pick up and play for thirty minutes or more.

Oh, and your eyes stop blinking when you get midway through level three.

Seriously doubt he got to the final boss on level five on his first try. I find it incredibly hard and wonderful.

I have no regrets for giving Microsoft $10 for this game. It's a wonderful remake.

I'm enjoying this game better than BC:Rearmed actually. Call me crazy.

anyone realize exept me that none play arcade games online anymore. like for example contra, joust, and this game. i mean yeah theirs a handfull of people playing online in castal crashers but thats it. the xbox team should make a gameing playdate but instead of fullout games like halo and cod, make a community playdate with arcade games instead. what do you think?

I think this game is pretty solid. Not spectacular, but absolutely worth ten bucks. However, I almost don't believe that you got to the final boss on Wing King on your first try while claiming that you're not that good at shooters, especially considering you used the spread shot, considered the weakest of the three weapons.

1942 Joint Strike is good but yeah you need to have a second player to enjoy it, reminds me more of a combo of all of the series.

i have playied the 1941, it was awsome but i think it was to confusing. half of the challenge is try to see just where you are. almost died 10 times because of that.

Honestly, I thought it was pretty challenging, but then again, I really AM a dunce when it comes to playing shmups :p I finally finished it on Wing King with 2,000,000+ points yesterday and I got S and A rankings on all the bosses as well. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it actually. The "hang" of course being: save up missiles and bombs for the bosses and save lives for the final bosses to keep blowing his ass up with the 3 bombs u get after dying :p

Yep, the game just doesn't have that magic I loved in the other games. Add to that the graphics are a bit drab and boring at times. Oh well, at least Bionic Commando is all sorts of awesome! Keep up the good work my friend.
