I watched the movie in theater. Why do they have to put the somber, dark shade on the scenes when it was filmed during a sunny day !! I dislike that dark gloomy look on the scenes!! Or, perhaps it hides the imperceptible flaws ??

Gazalie the first day of the shoot was abandoned coz of the heavy rain storm, the next 2 days the wind prevented those landing craft from landing - you're right though it was great foir the rest of the shoot. Lucky Ridley.

I think Scott's famous scrupulous attention to detail when it comes to historical accuracy will ensure for another great historical epic with tangeable authenticity.

A lot of people have suggested Scott + Crowe = Great Movie

I don't disagree but how about this:

Bernard Cornwell + Scott + Crowe = Incredible Movie!

If you're reading this Ridley (which I have no doubt you will) Then take a looksy at Cornwell's Saxon Saga. Brilliant!

I hope that Russell and/or other actors in the movie take the time to learn how to shoot a longbow properly and use proper medieval style arrows and bows, to make the movie feel a bit more authentic :)

I don't know if it's gonna be a good movie or not because I simply haven't read up on the movie's exact script concept, etc, but I do hope they keep filming the movie in British locations where it should be filmed :)

Hey Willie - filming finished on Robin Hood in mid August dude. The guy in charge of long bows spent all year on this job, firstly flying out to Oz to make Russell a bow and then making hundreds more for the extra. It should be authentic enough.
