@siobanethier Get off your "holier than thou" horse and use your brain. I only see grammar correction comments because of your lack of a basis for an argument. Good for you, the most "educated" prick in the world. Yes, I use the term educated loosely because you clearly lost the debate with the other character and started your OCD misspelling corrections to prove something. If the rest of the world is as dense as you are, they all should burn in hell without a doubt.
@388doughboy * a lot* ...'alot' is not a word, but there is a word 'allot' : "Allot is a verb that means to distribute, to assign a portion, or to divide.
Example: The instructor allotted me 20 minutes to take the test."
@TheAbsoluTurk ''decide *its* bid''... it's=it is/it has (It's been done.) Odd as it is, 'its' is possessive, but without the apostrophe normally used. ex: The dog wags its tail.
@TheAbsoluTurk You're welcome... Well that's a tricky one. And kudos to you for being mature about being corrected. Way too many people get their backs up and start using foul language as a defense mechanism.
@siobanethier I take it from this comment you're a full-time grammar/spelling Nazi. If "way too many people" swear at you, it's probably because you're correcting them on internet comments. It's actually OK to make mistakes in Youtube comments just as it is in private e-mails. Consider your audience. If you're sending a formal letter or writing an article, you should probably follow the "rules" of correct grammar and spelling. But "correcting" people based on spelling rather than content is rude
@siobanethier Primary reason being when you address spelling instead of content, It's like you didn't read the comment and are not interested in what the commenter has to say, but then you imply that he/she should listen to you. Stop being rude and you won't get as many people (justly) swearing at you!
@nonamebrand0 umm ya u guys were there but u didn't invade the most heavily armored beach also known ans Juno Beach that was all canada meaning that was a major part of the war we also fought against the Schutzstaffeln, one of Hitler's elite units we also captured Caen.we liberating the Netherlands from German control, there was also the air force that did there job and we also helped out the brits with there beach and pushed into france even farther and we did all are objectives the fastest.
@velovan Fist of all, I'm Canadian, and secondly, while Juno had heavy defences, the US forces at Omaha had a much tougher time due to delays, etc. Completely ignoring America's contribution to the war is just complete ignorance. The Canadians had some tough battles, but so did the Americans. We all fought together to liberate Europe. Also, the US did most of the work in the Pacific against the Japanese on their own. WW2 didn't just take place in Europe.
@nonamebrand0 America only had to fight japan on there own because Japan didnt help Germany with armed forces Japan also did not attack anyone but the U.S.A were as the other europe countries and commonwelth fought in Germany and Italy were most of the war took place America did not help in Europe untill Japan had surrendered and again the U.S.A still only helped in Europe for only a phew months but i do agree about completely ignoring Amerca contribution they did help
@Blueicewolf21 Robert Oppenheimer, David Bohm, Niels Bohr, James Franck, Otto Frisch, Klaus Fuchs, Rudolf Peierls... and a small indirect contribution by Albert Einstein. This is who created the Atomic bomb... so maybe you should rethink your position. German scientist built it, in america which is really irrelevant.
@dubstepful1 ''on *their* (possessive) own... there=opposite of 'here'... ''...Italy, *where* most of the war took place. (period, new sentence) were=were you sleeping? ..a *few* months..''completely ignoring American* contribution. (period, new sentence) They did help.

Interestingly enough, One of Toronto's major airports is named after Billy Bishop, a Canadian fighter pilot widely considered one of the best pilots in all of WW2. So not bad Watson...not bad at all...
@WhiteHussar83 wth are u talking bout i didn't say anything about diversity or anti-racist.last time i cheeked i was talking about wars that canada has been in because someone called canada a pussy at war. i didn't say any of the crap u just said.
@k1ngtdawg if Canada was such a pussy country to go to war what the hell do u call d-day and bloody Normandy during WW2 last time i cheeked the U.S. Army wasn't even there during d-day or bloody Normandy. so think before u call another country a pussy and do your history and research. and haven't u played any WW2 based video games cause if u have then u should know this stuff
@WhiteHussar83 Diversity is BS, Canada, America and Britain need immigrants for there economy to function. You don't have the manpower, hence why you need immigrants, and to make it sound all honky dorry, you call it "diversity". Personally speaking, there is no such thing a diversity in any of these countries. Go look at any large city...you'll have the "black quarter", the "asian quarter", the "white quarter", the "latino" quarter...did I forget anybody else?
@velovan You should tell anyone to "do research" when you clearly know little of WW2 history. The US Army was the largest contributor to D-Day and the following campaign in Normandy.
@nonamebrand0 Yeah and when did the US enter WWII? Canada and Britain were in WWII long before the Americans joined - also it's quite well documented that American businessmen funded both sides of the war (the Nazis) as to prolong the war as much as possible. Go find out what it took to get the Americans even into WWII...you had to pretend the Japanese weren't going to attack Pearl Harbour for God's sake. LOL.
@2012GreenGhost420 actually no were not, we just dont wanna help you fight your own battles. its called fix your own god damn problems and stop forcing everyone else to solve them for you
@RazalasSucram13 Do you know that when you say 'I could care less', it means that you actually care a bit?... Perhaps you don't really care at all, it's rather unclear. If you mean you don't care at all, then you'd want to say ''I couldn't care less.'' There are actually youtube videos to explain this concept.
@siobanethier But you know exactly what they mean because of hearing the phrase so many times. And if enough people use a word or phrase, it becomes part of the language. So those who use the phrase you hate so much are correct, and you're a bit of a douche for pretending what they say is unclear. You can fight it all you want, but you won't win. Ever heard the word re-iterate? That ain't correct either, but I don't stooge anyone into not using it because I know what they mean.
@dominozww2011 Canadians got deeper into France on D-Day then either the Americans or British, while encountering the strongest resistance outside of Omaha. Hell, during the first world war, Canadians were basically considered stormtroopers by the Germans - they knew things were gonna get ugly when they saw Canadians on the field. I'm not saying we're the toughest nation today, but to decry what Canada has done before is just ignorant.
The answer is just worded in a tough way for the computer to decipher its meaning. I had to reread it just to figure out what it was asking for. Most of the answers on jeopardy are fairly straightforward, this one certainly isn't.
He actually meant Toronto, Ohio because if you "smart" people from Canada would see that at 0:01 the category is U.S. CITIES. I'm pretty sure Canada isn't a U.S. City.
@plesa15 YOu're the dumbass, i was talking to the top comment guy who brought up Canada for no reason since the topic was U.S. cities. Canada has nothing to do with this video.
@babyhilts Probably when the French started settling there in the late 16th Century, but people didn't start to recognize it as a country until the British North America Act in 1867, but more or less, Canada didn't gain it's full independence until 1982, from a constitution that is.
My comment was directed at a time when the top comment said that Watson meant Canada, but really it was Toronto, Ohio. It was US cities and for people proclaiming Canada is what he meant then they're wrong.
@TheCommenter01 ''Canada didn't gain *its* full independence...'' It's=it is/it has (ex: It's been done) Strange as it may seem: 'its' is possessive but without the usual apostrophe used. ex: The dog is wagging its tail.
@TheCommenter01 It's a strange comment to make about someone when you don't even know what race they are, and besides, you really don't hear that word used much anymore. Similarly, we don't call Native Americans or First Nations people 'Indians' anymore.
@TheCommenter01 If nobody does it, people will never learn, they'll just continue to make mistakes, other people will learn the wrong ways to write simple words and it will continue until a large group of people get a reputation for not being able to write properly in their own language! How much time is spent learning about Canada in American schools? Gee, I wonder why they know jack shit about Canada down in the States. Arrogance leads to ignorance.
@siobanethier What is this, Star Wars? Arrogance leads to ignorance? It's the internet! No one gives a shit how you type on here. No one likes an egocentric bitch, who goes around correcting other people's grammar on the internet where no one gives a shit except for you and for the record, this video is about TORONTO, OHIO. The topic was U.S. CITIES. CANADA IS NOT A CITY IN THE USA. That was my whole point about 2 months ago when I first commented on this video! Idk why I'm even talking to you!
@TheCommenter01 I was not referring to the subject of the video. I was talking about how Americans have decided it's not important to learn about other countries. It has developed into a whole nation (with a few exceptions, I'm sure) having a reputation for being grossly uninformed about the rest of the world: people thinking Europe is a country! So if we go on with the attitude of not caring about grammar & spelling, it will become a reputation for having poor language skills...
@TheCommenter01 ...poor language skills in the language they've been speaking all their lives. You don't care now. Okay. Look on down the road to the next generation. The generation who was learning to not care enough to write a grammatically correct sentence, from their parents and other adults. You'll be asking the people around you: 'Did these kids not go to school at all, or something?'.. It's like the environment. We're paying now for the mistakes made by our ancestors.
@siobanethier Altering language is not a mistake. It's an unstoppable, natural occurrence. When's the last time you heard "God be with you", instead of goodbye?
@TheCommenter01 Watson was indeed referring to the Canadian city. None of the US Toronto's have 2 airports. It confused the fact that there are Toronto's in the US and thus allowed it to be a possible answer, and then cross referenced that with the Canadian Toronto's 2 airports.
@k1ngtdawg That's why Canada went into WW1 and WW2 before the US did right? Oh wait, no that makes you ignorant and wrong. Oh, and we're also in Afghanistan right now as well. Because we are pussies, obviously.
@k1ngtdawg seriously buddy are you fucking retarded? and the people that gave thumbs up are just as dumb as you are go to school and learn something you moron.
@k1ngtdawg canada was the first country to step foot on European soil you fucking dumb shit. and we did more than usa in both wars, some of you ignorant dumb americans actually think you went in there and won those wars alone? WOW just WOW
@Vtecification Uhh actually the first countries to set foot on European soil were...you know...the Europeans.
Honestly why are we having this conversation people? Is it that hard for the idiots in both countries to realize that both countries made great contributions to the War effort? Why does it matter who did more - spoiler alert, it was the US - what we should be doing is praising these men and women for the service they rendered. God bless Canada, and God bless America.

@xbox360pwnsall i could care less to be honest it doesnt matter and good for those who live there other than that idc
RazalasSucram13 1 month ago
@RazalasSucram13 Do you know that when you say 'I could care less', it means that you actually care a bit?... Perhaps you don't really care at all, it's rather unclear. If you mean you don't care at all, then you'd want to say ''I couldn't care less.'' There are actually youtube videos to explain this concept.
siobanethier 1 week ago

City.
Newsflash Canadians, Canada is a country.

@TheCommenter01 hahahhhahhah wow you are retarded aren't you,
who ever said canada is a city? Toronto is also a city but in Canada you idiot
plesa15 1 month ago
@plesa15 YOu're the dumbass, i was talking to the top comment guy who brought up Canada for no reason since the topic was U.S. cities. Canada has nothing to do with this video.
TheCommenter01 1 month ago
@TheCommenter01 Holy shit, for real? When did we become our own country?
babyhilts 3 weeks ago
@babyhilts Probably when the French started settling there in the late 16th Century, but people didn't start to recognize it as a country until the British North America Act in 1867, but more or less, Canada didn't gain it's full independence until 1982, from a constitution that is.
My comment was directed at a time when the top comment said that Watson meant Canada, but really it was Toronto, Ohio. It was US cities and for people proclaiming Canada is what he meant then they're wrong.
TheCommenter01 3 weeks ago
@TheCommenter01 I commend you on your civilized answer instead of going crazy like the majority of the comments on this video.
babyhilts 3 weeks ago
@TheCommenter01 ''Canada didn't gain *its* full independence...'' It's=it is/it has (ex: It's been done) Strange as it may seem: 'its' is possessive but without the usual apostrophe used. ex: The dog is wagging its tail.

@siobanethier THE DAY I'M CORRECTED BY A NEGRO!!...Sorry, I got a little carried away. Thanks.
TheCommenter01 1 week ago
@TheCommenter01 To whom are you referring? Who's the negro? And why would that be a problem? (You're welcome... I think!)
siobanethier 1 week ago
@siobanethier Why are you caring?
TheCommenter01 1 week ago
@TheCommenter01 It's a strange comment to make about someone when you don't even know what race they are, and besides, you really don't hear that word used much anymore. Similarly, we don't call Native Americans or First Nations people 'Indians' anymore.
siobanethier 1 week ago
@siobanethier What's strange is that a person will go through a bunch of comments on Youtube and correct grammar.
TheCommenter01 1 week ago
@TheCommenter01 If nobody does it, people will never learn, they'll just continue to make mistakes, other people will learn the wrong ways to write simple words and it will continue until a large group of people get a reputation for not being able to write properly in their own language! How much time is spent learning about Canada in American schools? Gee, I wonder why they know jack shit about Canada down in the States. Arrogance leads to ignorance.
siobanethier 1 week ago
@siobanethier What is this, Star Wars? Arrogance leads to ignorance? It's the internet! No one gives a shit how you type on here. No one likes an egocentric bitch, who goes around correcting other people's grammar on the internet where no one gives a shit except for you and for the record, this video is about TORONTO, OHIO. The topic was U.S. CITIES. CANADA IS NOT A CITY IN THE USA. That was my whole point about 2 months ago when I first commented on this video! Idk why I'm even talking to you!
TheCommenter01 1 week ago 3
@TheCommenter01 I was not referring to the subject of the video. I was talking about how Americans have decided it's not important to learn about other countries. It has developed into a whole nation (with a few exceptions, I'm sure) having a reputation for being grossly uninformed about the rest of the world: people thinking Europe is a country! So if we go on with the attitude of not caring about grammar & spelling, it will become a reputation for having poor language skills...
siobanethier 1 week ago
@TheCommenter01 ...poor language skills in the language they've been speaking all their lives. You don't care now. Okay. Look on down the road to the next generation. The generation who was learning to not care enough to write a grammatically correct sentence, from their parents and other adults. You'll be asking the people around you: 'Did these kids not go to school at all, or something?'.. It's like the environment. We're paying now for the mistakes made by our ancestors.
siobanethier 1 week ago
@siobanethier Altering language is not a mistake. It's an unstoppable, natural occurrence. When's the last time you heard "God be with you", instead of goodbye?
nimrodery 6 days ago
@TheCommenter01 Watson was indeed referring to the Canadian city. None of the US Toronto's have 2 airports. It confused the fact that there are Toronto's in the US and thus allowed it to be a possible answer, and then cross referenced that with the Canadian Toronto's 2 airports.

Vtecification 2 months ago
@Vtecification Uhh actually the first countries to set foot on European soil were...you know...the Europeans.
Honestly why are we having this conversation people? Is it that hard for the idiots in both countries to realize that both countries made great contributions to the War effort? Why does it matter who did more - spoiler alert, it was the US - what we should be doing is praising these men and women for the service they rendered. God bless Canada, and God bless America.
