  • Anyone know of a series back in the early 60's where the bad guys rode horses, wore helmets and hid out in a cave? I think they had a lightening bolt as a symbol, but not sure of all the details as I was about 6-7 yrs old at the time and living in England.

  • @smacker57 gene autry

  • @smacker57 I think you're remembering "The Phantom Empire" starring Gene Autry. It was filmed in the thirties.

  • Lone Ranger in movie. Why Tonto not in it? Me thinkum that not right. Seriously, this brings back some very pleasant memories.

  • Clayton Moore (The Lone Ranger) a bad guy in this Serial.

  • It's confirmed then. California is on the Moon.

  • And how did they notice atomic activity on the moon?

  • What, no g-forces on the passengers ???

Damn. I keep having to reload this stupid raygun !!!

  • What, no g-forces on the passengers ???

  • All in all, this is actually better than 'V.'

  • how did you upload beyond 15mins???

  • I remember watching Rocket Man in the movies. Now those were the good old days!

  • Ah, those were the days. You could build a rocket ship in the desert, and fly to the moon - no pesky government interference, no photographers, no nuttin....and you even get to take a dame along to "cook your meals." :)

  • is there a place where i can find all of these, not just this one but all of the serials ever produced

  • @boogiebuddy01 Yes, practically all sound serials are available, and some of the silent ones as well. You can find places on the web that sell them. A lot of people who sell oldtime radio shows also have these. If you have a large flea market near you, check it out, as someone might have them. You might also check the serialsquadron site on the web.

  • @bruiser cool thank you friendo

  • I'm saying this with total honesty : The special effects for the jet pack and rocket ship flights are freakin' amazing. Computer generated effects are pretty nice, but this is the real thing and you can't even see strings... I mean the guy is flying as straight as a line and he looks real!

  • @DeLorean4 The Lydecker Brothers did the FX. They were probably the best in the business at that time. There's some info on the web about them.

  • @bruiser Thanks for the info.

  • This video brings back wonderful childhood memories. Thank you

  • 12:30 Be sure and fasten the seat belts on those rolling office chairs!!

  • @Noldi400 im bout to remake radar man n e suggestions?

  • @Elroy3jets Remake? Like make a movie? Or re-work the old videos? Not sure what you're getting at.

  • 9:38 the chair broke and didn't hit anything

  • @wormusicisticsound Actually, it hit the black cabinet behind them.

  • Retic Ruler of The Moon's gun sucks!

  • LOL!

"I still think this is no trip for a woman."

"Now don't start that again. You'll be very glad to have someone along who can cook your meals".

  • @saggiehead HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't make movies like they used to! :P

  • Comment removed

  • Well, it was Commander Cody after all that had that fantastically fabulous hit Get That Gasoline, wasn't it?

  • clever and fun to watch!

  • i wish somebody would upload spy smasher, that serial sounds good

  • Spy Smasher is pretty cool. My step dad has that on DVD.

  • the lone ranger playing a bad guy unbeleivable

  • This was a saturday afternoon religon the serial then bugs bunny or popeye then a good shootem up western god i miss the local flea house(picture theatre) and it was cheap clean fun

  • What a HOOT!

  • This is better than man serials== despite the fact that the moon has an atmosphere and Cody needs to wear no protective covering over his hands...you know, this was about 35 years before the first moon landing...don't judge history by today's standards.

  • this is the funniest thing i've ever seen in my whole life

  • so the ray gun was in a truck... running on foot is the best means of escape...

  • Classic stuff...better than the things put out these days....

  • with Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger...

  • Nobody copuld be bad better than Howard R. Ravenscroft of Crab Orchard, Nebraska. Only good guy he ever played was in Disney's "Spin and Marty" seies, and as the Sheriff in "Oklahoma" with Gordon McCrae.

  • RMftM...the best serial ever made, loved 'em when I was a kid! Also liked,The Purple Monster Strikes, and ALL of the Republic serials, the only studio that could do it right!

  • I think this is the one that has Leonard Nimoy in his first movie appearance as a pointy eared alien, seriously I think one of the radar men in Nimoy

  • You are almost right. Nimoy was from Mars in a different serial. The Martians had a rather ambitious project to remove the Earth from its orbit so Mars could then occupy our space. I don't want to spoil it for you so I won't say whether they succeeded or not.

  • I loved this stuff as a kid..........I'm 56.

  • I used to watch it in the sixties. I'm 45.

  • I used to watch this every week at the cinema when I was a boy, it hasn´t lost any of it´s power over the years and is still cutting edge action packed thrill a minute stuff...who needs that modern stuff when you´ve got King of the Rocketmen.

    Brilliant

  • This is a lot better than the last 3 Star Wars movies.

  • This stuff is cool and cheesy at the same time. Commando Cody is THE MAN.

  • commando cody.... I've been looking for this for 40 years.... you are the King, dude!

  • All 3 of the Republic rocketman serials are available.

  • where are the serials located......please

  • You can buy them from oldiedvd
