@ofratko The thing is that Serbs begun to inhabit Croatian land in 14. century, when Turks invaded them. We welcomed them with no problem. The trouble is that they started to claim that land as their own. In the end they developed the national idea of "greater Serbia" which consisted of the territory of today's Serbia + Bosnia + big part of Croatia, ergo where ever the Serbs are populated. Of course we wouldn't let them that and then the trouble started.

I disagree we are not animals and we don't have natural enemies. I heard that quite many Croats married Serbs and were more then happy in the union. f.e Ante Starčević's mother was Serbian -orthodox. @ofratko The thing is that Serbs begun to inhabit Croatian land in 14. century, when Turks invaded them. We welcomed them with no problem. The trouble is that they started to claim that land as their own. In the end they developed the national idea of "greater Serbia" which consisted of the territory of today's Serbia + Bosnia + big part of Croatia, ergo where ever the Serbs are populated. Of course we wouldn't let them that and then the trouble started.

@ofratko Of course, there is a great number of mix marriages, 'cause almost 600.000 Serbs settled in Croatia from 14. century onwards, but believe me, children of mix marriages in Croatia support Croatia and feel like Croatians because they know who was agressor in 1941. and 1991. Croatia is the only Catholic country which made an agreement with Pope Agaton (678th to 681st) that will always be loyal to the Pope, to defend their country and never to attack and conquer other countries.
