I have to say that my middle school jazz band (when i was in it, yuck) played this song much better in tune. That's the main issue really.

A smaller one would be to bring the saxophones out more. If they can't play much louder, just bring down the trumpets.

It sounded nice though.

No such thing as abad notes on solos- only notes that may add a little tension.

The trombone solo is good, although I could do better..*cough*..*Bardia*..*co­ugh*

A flute IS just as much a jazz instrument as a trumpet.

Regarding feb29229, considering that we are a middle school jazz band, and that you are a complete moron, I think our school is PRETTY DARN GOOD! Let's see you do any better!

Who is the arranger on this? If you dont mind We played it in HS jazz Band and it sounded nothing of the sort. Trombones had melody and saxes backed em up. and Trumpets floated on top.

well i go to sutter middle school. it's in Folsom. There's a jazz festival going on at Folsom High School on the 26th of January. It's two-day thing. You guys should compete there. There are a lot of bands coming. You should also check out their jazz bands. They're really good too.

not bad at all! great camera work! i would suggest for soloists to learn the jazz scale if they are to improvise, in particular the trombonist. and for the trumpet player to try not to squeak (hit high notes that are too high for him to play). but overall i would say very good! you'd make a great rival for our band, we played this song too.
