this is not faked. the only part that is altered for this performance is that the piano accompaniment was put on a machine that would allow him to make the piano faster because he did not have a real pianist who could play it fast enough for him.
This is THE NEW WORLD RECORD brought back to the UK and should be recognised as such. David Garrett plays it at 204 BPM and Oliver Lewis plays at 214 BPM.
If Oliver Lewis had a Stradivarius to play on like David Garrett then his would be so clean it would wipe the floor with Garretts!!!!
I wouldn't say that. The audio quality of David's is allot cleaner but I wouldn't say his playing is. This gentleman sounds as clean to me but the audio equipment he recorded it on is atrocious.
Cleaner & Accurate? LOL. Your saying the decision is based on the sound quality of the recording? David Garrett's version was done on about a $2500 condenser microphone (studio grade 20hz - 20khz). This was done on a very cheap camera mic. As far as accurate, I'm a violinist and play this song and this gentleman is note for note and makes certain accents that are in the song that David didn't.

Im not sure about fast forward, but the question of breaks theres no possibility to fake:
Garrett played with a metronome and Oliver played with an piano half-playback which holds the speed exactaly as accurate as a metronome would!

He plays another arrangement than Garrett. In the middle part, two bars are missing. However, despite of this, he is a bit faster, I think.

Yeah you're right. I think it's just one of this faked videos. Though David Garrett plays even faster but makes more little breaks between the parts.

Garrett's version is much cleaner and more accurate, especially in the section on the A/E strings before the pizz section.
