  • 1:54 licking thermal compound off

  • dude watching shit in fast forward is so boss....

  • THIS IS HOW YOU FIX AD PREVENT THE RROD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1) REFLOW your Xbox 360 console BEFORE the X-Clamp Fix

    2) Do the X-Clamp Fix

    3) Do the 12v fan mod

    4) Do the penny trick Everyone only does ONE trick to repair their Xbox 360... DO THEM ALL AND FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is perfect for f*cking up your xbox....

  • this fucking jerk off is reading another stupid tutorial on youtube while making this video.. what a loser

  • Im in the process of doing this, but let me splash a little reality into this nerd domain...Anybody can NOT DO THIS, its not extremely complicated, but there are alot of little tools and bits that you need and its is time consuming, that being said, Im going to be finishing my repairs up tonight with the help of a friend.

But let me reiterate, this is not a SIMPLE NO BRIAN-ER FIX AND ANYBODY CANNOT DO THIS.

    Bottomline, doable...but NOT EASY

  • first time fixing?

  • @vasiliiivanov7 so..much...Russian

  • @henmaniac87 Idk wtf is goin on?!

  • These guides are retarded. Your taste in music blows - why not actually instruct how to fix the damn thing.

  • @hash1212121212 dont have a cry and just go buy a slim save yourself the hassle.

  • if you want to fix it for pernament than you shuld mod the case take the xbox a part and then cut the one side of the case and you shuld install one clear plastic inside glue it inside and cut a circle for the fan what ever size you want to install and make the fan blow air right on the cpu and gpu and also install fan from the bottom and use silver artci thermal paste on the gpu cpu , or if you don't want to cut the xbox case then install the motherboard inside the PC thats solve the problem!

  • How long did this clamp?

  • The Guide here tells specifically how to repair your Xbox.

XBOX360FIXGUIDE.TK My Pops and I fixed ours utilizing it.

  • yes ,anyone can fix an xbox 360, but how long will it last lol, most of the time its just the gpu ,

  • damn i saw this because i thought it said torching an xbox 360. but it was informative. so the rrod can be fixed. but dont remove those clamps. i'll give this a try.

  • if you remove the x-clamps from the motherboard thats the big mistake cause thats the temporary fix after few months the you console vill be have the same problem and you can't fix it anymore but if you keep the x-clams and you fix it the different way than the your console will be good like the first model of xbox they are good for long time, so here is the link this is also good for the xbox with hdmi

just type in youtube penny trick

  • @Skiller7777 I tried the penny trick and it worked for about 30 minutes and then the black dots came and filled up the screen. Turned it off and back on and now it has the e74 error again.

  • so why would you want to remove the x clamp?

  • @cudrank2475

MS just announced that the 1st cinematic for the upcoming Halo Reach has been leaked on the net on several gaming blogs BTW I am gonna save you some searching because you are probably lazy, you can watch it here. Link is below.

    shortener。org/893420

I would say the most beautiful intro vid in any game ever, imo, it totally got me excited hehe. You could message me on XBL if you wanna kill some newbies, my user name is randon1882

  • @ispviva4150

Yep the GTA 5 opening cinematic mysteriously has been posted on a few differnet gaming blogs you maybe saw ppl talking about on their twitter pages ect. I'm going to save you some searchin, You could currently check it out at the link right here just copy and paste it

    shortener。org/76361

The game looks really amazing even tho it hasn't even been announced.. You can hit me up on Xbox Live my gamer tag is nocro4598 :D

  • MOUSE SHAKE LOL-WON'T HAVE TO START OVER RECORDING LOL-Anyways thanks.

  • Can someone help me, i did this, but now my xbox shows 3 red rings and then immedietly 2, and the fans stop working after that, i have checked too see if the motherboard is bent which it obviously is not.. help?

  • the screw method is a lye you need the xclamps thats what keeps your mother board from flexing you just need to do a reflow and replace the thermal paste and put the xclamps backon the reason the red rings happens is from lack of cleaning your xbox and the cheap thermal paste

  • sorry but you callin ppl bitches an tools( all the time sayin that anyone can do it) when your vid shows you trying to put one component together 2-3 times at every stage of reassembly. are you a tool or just an idiot? I'm not sayin anything, just sayin lol.

  • would buying an xbox that has had the x clamp fix be a good idea??

  • i bet the people at microsoft are laughing their asses off...lol

i will never buy a 360 because they are such piles of crap

    best way to fix a 360 is a 12 guage shotgun,then go buy a ps3

  • @chemicallust77 So I can have no games? Sweet. I sure do love playing with an awkward controller with a glitchy and hacked online play. Shit is soo cash. Oh and if I run out of room for my PS3 I can just spend another $400 on another! Why didn't I do this before?!

  • does this method also fix the no video problem

because everytime i turn on my xbox it doesnt show video but it plays sound

  • what is this song ? tell me pls rly like it

  • hey i got a big problem i get 3 red rings flashin on me 360 the power pak turns red and nothing happens the fans wont start or anythin disc tray wont open so the towel trick is out the question cuz it crnt over heat does anybody no if this video will help before i try it ??

  • This is fan-tastic in every way shape form and even some transformed symbolic shit but, can anyone tell me why my Hitachi V78/79 will not and cannot be read by my PC? Well, at least the program does but, Windows refuses to recognize that its connect to my SATA port in my mother board? There is no VIA or connector cables, just my CD/DVD's SATA cable and my disk drive all connected to the mother board of my PC.

  • I did this and my box has been working for two months now ^^

  • i need to fix my xbox tomorrow so im gonna put the video up to make shore it works!

  • whats up with that gay little hand thing u did at the end

  • lol ure holding the box with your feet hahhaha thatts very funny LOL¡

  • Why dont you cut 2/ 4in holes in the case while you have it apart and put 2 computer fans on it to cool the unit down?

  • he should put a liquid-cooling system in there so it will spill and buy a mod-chip to get banned from xbox live and replace the hard drive with windows vista LMAO, microsoft really did a bad job on the game console, worst hard ware ever, the xbox has so many problems and they want alot of money to fix it, im not doing that crap

  • @UltimatePenguinTeam apparetnly it didnt work because when they put the disc drive in, they had to reduce the size of the cooling case around the proccesor casue there wasnt enough space, but they fixed that now with the 2nd gen

  • @UltimatePenguinTeam

    "liquid-cooling system" "mod chip"

    Lol.

  • @supercoolninjayo :) lol

  • your feet must have hurt like a bitch hackabuse, i cant sit like that for long

  • dont worry u can fix it but it will happen again

  • wats the song

  • DMX

  • LMAO this kid didn't even know what he was doing he was watching a video on how 2 as he was doing this....

  • Thats the fucking point you tools. Anyone can fix RROD caused by a loose GPU.

  • @hackabuse actually no its the solder getting damaged by it heating up fast and cooling down fast the sudden changes in tempreture causes it to become brittal overtime

  • for a week or two maybe a couple months if your very lucky but the x clamp fix is not the solution and youll be red ringing again shortly. For everyone new to these fixes they are temporary at best.

  • @hackabuse RROD isn't caused by a loose CPU. It's caused by overheating.

  • @makaisenki which is probably caused somewhat by a loose heatsink XD

  • @hackabuse not a loose gpu a loose heat sync

  • hackabuse after watching your video, i know feel dumber than i was yesterday. trying working on a table instead of like an Ethiopian refugee.. and get some damn tools your nut bag... what are you fixing this xbox with ROCKS!!!

  • lol

  • @Heath0089 1st time for everything for everybody

  • Christ! That's a lot of screws..

  • thank you, I hope that this video is helpful!

  • will this fix it forever? :)

  • no. It depends how well the job is done, luck also plays a part. It can last months maybe

  • Forever is impossible by an Xbox. ;)

  • thanks, i'd forgotten how terrible limp bizkit was

  • Nice tune, whats is called ?

  • OMFG you are watching YouTube and still butchering that box!!!!!!!!! Delete this video and make one that at least looks like you know what you are doing K

  • dude why are there still parts from inside your xbox on the floor in the back ground? this looks well dodgy to me to be honest but if you really did it then congrats but i was just wondering =D

  • this guy is learning as he teahes, what the fuck do you call that.

  • ability...

  • you call it "monkey see monkey do" lol

  • it worked!!

  • aight well fuck, i have opened the bitch up, removed x-clamps, removed and added new thermal paste (the $15 brand) re-assembled everything and worked fine for about 2 months, now i am always turning my xbox on to see 3 red lights so i let it overheat by turning off the fan, then i receive 2 red lights which is what i wanted but instead of my xbox starting as it should afterwards it jumps right back to 3 red rings, WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO?

  • k well basically. you did it wrong, and you have to literally do it all over again.

  • @broquethomas

guess you'll have to do the hotair fix...

  • Comment removed

  • i wonder how many little kids tried to take apart their shit after watching this....

  • use pliers for xclamp fix!!!!. i got mine off in 30 seconds!!!got mine at radio shack

  • Comment removed

  • fixed my 0020

  • what a fukin shite video

  • just got my 360 that has 0020.. im planning to do this(now).. although.. my dumbass did the penny trick.. and dont have those little pads anymore.. soo.. should i keep the pennies (dont like it though since its press the moo on the case) or use it without those pads? will it be ok with out them?

  • AAH LEG CRAMP

  • this vid is shit, you need to run it at real time so people can actually see whay you're doing you tard.

  • that would take forever loser. did you see how many times he changed clothes??

  • sorry to hear you're a loser nice of you to share that ,but anyway, back on subject...yeah i see how many...none...you spastic,i've seen far superior vids than this, done in real time with the odd jump to appropriate sections, once again, this vid is shit :-)....have a nice day

  • Unprofessional.. you don't plase heatsink and dismount it 3 times...

  • Bitch moan It doesnt show us how to fix it LOL

  • looks like all you did was reseat the GPU/CPU with new heat paste.

Good job looks like one hell of a task just to get to the CPU.

  • one smart ass dude

  • Comment removed

  • hey dude the link that is provided on the description box is dead do you know any others that are not that we can access?

  • Filthy music. Don't use trashy F-Bomb music.

  • then i had that problm with the 'rd ring of death' i just unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in.... and it haven't done it since :p

  • so im guessing theres something wrong with the GPU and CPU because they are emiting no heat, making no sound... but one thing i did realise is that alot of the knob looking things on the mother board are on an angle and loose :S. can some one plz help me if u get this? it would b much appreciated. thanks

  • but my xbox is modded and has had heaps of trouble in the past which i have gotten it fixed so many times from error e74 and 3 red rings, so i finally got the right tools and opened it up to the mother board, followed so many tutorials on how to fix the x clamps and red lights, i have done that till the stage where u have to cook the xbox, i realised that there is no heat coming from the CPU or GPU, the fans dont spin at all, (actually once i press the power button they spin for about a second

  • can someone please help me? im not sure if my xbox is totally fucked. ive opened it up to try and fix an error which makes any game disk unreadable no matter what the condition, so i decided to take a tutorial and open up my xbox. when i got down to the bolts on the chassis, i loosened a few of the middle bolts then put them back in as i didnt have the right tool for taking the chassis off, then i reasembled it and turned it on and got 3 red lights. im like wtf.

  • but they over heat very easly i had a ps3 and it over heated in about 4 months

  • ive had a ps3 for about 3 years now and i have never had a problem but i got a 360 for halo 3 and it did good for a year now i have a freezing issue with no red lights whats wrong wit it?

  • im to sure mate my xbox freezes every now and then

  • u bought a 360

  • hey maybe if u slowed down the vid ppl could actually see what the fuck is going on, dumb ass

  • links broke

  • do the x clamps have to be put back on? and how?

  • Comment removed

  • your supposed throw it away or keep it... LOL

  • yea don't do it unless ur warranty is completely expired( 3 years for 3 red rings, etc) cuz it only works for a few months, and thats if you're lucky. I'v done it on 4 360s and 3 out of 4 worked for for about 6 weeks and the 4th wouldn't even start anymore.

  • Never remove a heat sink from a processor after applying thermal compound!

  • why cant u

  • penny trick ftw!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @kevo53033 : he never said it's a guide. it's just a video seeing him, fixing an Xbox 360

  • To see how this is really done... Do a You Tube search for " X-Clamp-fix COMPLETE Guide". Open link watch Robbiehct 's 2 easy vids. Read my Simplified Version comments. Fix your xbox and get back to the x-zone. Good luck!

  • Whats the 15 dollers used for??

lol im new at this hahaha

  • - screwdrivers (T8 and T10)

    - thermal paste

  • can you tell me what type of screwdriver you used to take the xclamps off?

  • T8 screw driver

  • not for the x-clamps

  • Dude this guys X-ClamP fix is GAY!!!! He doesn't even break it down and explain how and wut he uses. Wut a fag lol

  • ritchard s gay

  • lol texting in the middle of it

  • My 360 is getting the E-74 but none of these videos are helpful. do you have one for that problem aswell. i tried to get online and when i turned on my 360 it had the red light on the bottom left. i disconnected everything from it and reconnected it but it still gives me the red light only when the cable connected to the television is connected. plz help me out !!!

  • You're doomed, xbox rrod-service of 3 years doesn't count for E-74...

Unless your xbox is younger than one year

  • Stop spreading your misinformation. E74 is covered under the 3 years, Microsoft has changed their policy in the last 6 months.

  • You are fucking Intelegent, MAN

  • im having problems with my DVD drive it plays CDS and DVDS but not the games what is the problem and can it be fixed?

  • wots this song

  • No matter how bad the song sucks, some tard always has to ask what it is!

  • no matter how known a song is... some tards dont know the name of the song....

    Limp Bizkit - Rolling

  • Its actually

    the

Rolling Remix you fuckin asshole nice try

  • Actually, it's

Now go die in a fire.

  • WRONG!!!!

  • rollin

  • I asked a friend if I could go on his XBOX 360 while he was out (I really wanted to go on GH3) and then he got the one ring of death thingy and I am shitting myself!

  • is this permanent??

  • Yes> Very>

  • i sliced my hand trying to do this ty for the 4500$ med bill jackass

  • nice work retard

  • Only fuckwits slice their hands, should have let Daddy help you.

  • hahahaha how the hell do you slice your hand with an xbox fix??? there is absolutely NOTHING that i could have done that with

  • i slice the top of my thumb on the x-clamp those things are sharp

  • how da fuck u manage dat

  • very nice video 5 STAR

  • I found that the best way to fix the RROD issue is to open your xbox 360. then you need to vacuum out all the dust. Dont lose any screws while you do this. After that you need to smash your piece of shit console with a hammer and buy a ps3. voila fixed.

  • How do you know what code it is.

  • how eject and sync read on google

  • I tried this and Fucked my 360 up!..What you need to do is sand down the two humps on the metal backside! Then be very very careful not to overtighten the screw!

  • shit thats too much work i just did the damn towel trick and mine works just fine

  • Yeah for like 1-2 days it will work

  • how do you know that?

  • i did it..

  • TREY 4 LIFE YA DIGG!

  • wow you shouldlnt have to do this in order to get your xbox working.....

  • Yeah, when I fix shit Im always barefoot and working on the floor too!

  • me too lol

  • the towel trick is a piece of crap....i tried doing the x-clamp removal like a month ago and my console is working perfectly, it cost me 40 bucks to get what i needed....torx screw driver, Arctic Silver thermal compound, machine screws, metal and rubber washers :)....it was totally worth the spending

  • CODE 0102 = tower trick or X-Clamp

    CODE 0020 = overheated

  • I never had Red Lights.Only when I lost power but she always run good. My house burnt down and I sold the 360 it was in it to my friend and she still running like if it was brand new.

  • nice... but I'm still mad at xbox. lol.

  • my 360 didnt even have installed x-clamps Wtf???? Are they supposed 2?

  • lol yes

  • Code 0020 = Overheating.. maybe you just have to clean it or do the towel trick

  • the towel trick is frustrating...i did the x-clamp removal and i never got a rrod or overheated xbox or a freeze up during gameplay

  • ye its a good idea with the x-clamp but the 0020 error means Overheating so there is no need for the xclamp.. normaly . Just clean the box or get new (faster) Fans.

  • oh..yea i knew that but i kept getting the rrod shit and gamefreezes after the towel tricks so im like fuck that....and i fixed that bitch lol

  • well ok then its your only choice indeed ;)

At least it worked again and thats fine :P

  • Mine has kept working since my last post and that's with a 2hr game play a day
