I'm a metal kind of chick, and Orange Goblin, even though they're stoner rock, has gotten me into some interesting an awesome situations. Love these guys.
Trust me, Orange Goblin have been around way longer, and their sound along with many other genres were hijacked to form the nu-metal culture, but if you can learn to appreciate stoner and doom for what it is then it's brilliant. Look at Sabbath, pioneers of heavy metal, they were a doom metal band.
9th Not quite as well-respected as their fellow English stoners Electric Wizard, but the Goblin are just as good, maybe even a little better in my opinion. Stoner and Doom metal bands with a good sense of the genre tend to kick a lot of ass.
