Still the best pokemon game generation till this day is the second. If you had gotten the opportunity to play them you'd know. It had a lot of secrets, and once you got all the medals and defeat the elite 4, you could still travel to Kanto and get the other 8 medals, and battle Red. It was just awesome... ahhhh the old days...

Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald were my first Pokemon games (except for Pokemon Gold, which my mum found on the street somewhere and decided to pick it up. I didn't know that it was a Pokemon game until I played it several years later) I lost Sapphire a few days after I got it, but I still have Sapphire and Emerald. And yet, I still haven't beaten the Elite Four on Ruby. But I remember the great feeling of DESTROYING the Elite Four with my Raquaza in Emerald.

@tehpiezorz I can see where you could get that from the Rival Battle theme, but I don't really see it in the rest of the soundtrack. In particular, it has my #2 favorite Wild Battle theme, and one of my top 3 favorite Gym Leader Battle themes.

Overall, I feel the D/P soundtrack was better, but some tracks in BW really impressed me(like the theme for Route 10), as well as the end credits theme. I feel like they put a lot more effort into the soundtracks of these past two gens.
