Why is the speedometer turned on its side? And i think the tachometer might be a sensor.

Yikes!!! Sounds like it has a main bearing knock. Diesel yes, but awfully loud. =O

I've never owned a Mercedes-Benz Diesel car, or any diesel for that matter. But I've always loved diesel engines. I love the sound they make, I love the horsepower and torque, I have always admired the relative durability vs. gasoline engines.
