Looks REALLY good. Can't wait for this. I like more in-depth information on the wilderness. Most things are the basics, and they just keep repeating them. Real curious about those logs with the holes in them. Maybe made by an axehead tied sideways to a handle (to make an adze)? I've seen that you could do that with the Cold Steel trailhawks, but haven't seen how. Looks AWESOME.

@answerlove42 Well, you could track down one of the many plants with antimicrobial properties. My vote is to learn to identify Usnea, which is a lichen that grows worldwide that has antibiotic and antifungal properties. You can search for it on here and get a lot of good info on identification and uses.

Thanks man, never knew about usnea. I tried garlic and honey which killed the bacteria on the wound surface but did nothing to the bacteria that got into my hand and spread like crazy. Had to go to the hospital. Scary stuff if I was bush bound.

@answerlove42 You picked two things with antibacterial properties that are also edible. Did you actually eat any of the garlic and honey? I know some people can't stand raw garlic but it may have been a good idea in that situation. I probably wouldn't have had any garlic to use because I would have already eaten it!
