Hell yeah, in school, the teachers, principals, and yes, even the school cops, when they find a student has drugs, they will take it, only to use it themselves.
1. Odessa isn't terribly religious. Look at all the controversy started over including an *optional* course in the high schools that was basically a history of the bible. Although we are still in the Southern Bible Belt, I think that train has long since left West Texas. When I think of Baptist bible thumpers, I think of East Texas (Tyler and Whitehouse area).
2. I hate football. It's corrupt and they recieve unfair advantages.
3. All towns are based on something. Oil, coal, tourism, etc.

I was born and raised in Odessa. I graduated from Permian High, Obtained two associates from Odessa College before I moved on to complete my B.F.A.
I have a large and loving family whom have all resided in Odessa and/or Gardendale their entire lives.
