@MWolfL He also did the narrator in Disney's "Make Mine Music" in a segment called "Casey At The Bat" and also the voice of March Hare from "Alice In Wonderland".
Oh yeah, I remember reading about that about March Hare. Didn't know about "Casey at the Bat" though. I looked it up and it turns out he also did "The Brave Engineer". Did you know Mad Hatter was voiced by Ed Wynn? Also love that guy.
Mel Blanc did the voices...it's similar to the way he voiced Daffy but with an accent based on Jerry Colonna, complete with handlebar mustache. The name of this cartoon was a pun based on one of Colonna's catch-phrases: "Ahhhh...Greetings, Gate!".
a human caricature of Colonna appears at the end.
There is a book about Colonna, written by his son. The book is called "Greetings, Gate!" and it's from Bear Manor Media...they've issued quite a lot of nostalgia-related items through the years.

Στην αρχή είναι κάπως ενδιαφέρον(δεν έχω ξαναδεί cartoon με ένα σκουλήκι για πρωταγωνιστή), συνολικά όμως είναι ένα βαρετό εργάκι.

Q: do you know of a cartoon involving a Jerry Colonna acting cat.
DonzaDJN 3 years ago
The first color Looney Tune [Clampett], called the Hep Cat, has a cat that looks like Jerry when he says "Ahhh, something new has been added"!
