These CEO's are very bright within their given industries, but I think the american people should control the grade card as to whether government is achieving progress of their duties to meet the needs of america, Government is NOT a corporation, its an institution thats serve's it's citizens, the metrics vision should be very basic in government, if it ain't broke , don't fix it, keep it simple and logical, Keeping a oath to preserve the constitution and a code of ethics to serve the customer.
And 99% of private sector businesses and ask the CFO what they spend on document input/output management. Odds are they do not know. Low end is 3% of revenue. If that cost could be reduced by 25-30%....do the math....its huge
Duplication and redundancy of efforts / wasted time / lack of ownership and lack of consequences...the government pays to much for everything because of everything they are stating here.
I get frustrated when people view these meeting as a waste of time. They are all introducing them selves for a reason. They are all instrumental. If we take notice it takes communication. A smart individual will notice dialog. "Web streaming" Exposure can be positive.
these guys don't really seem like they are talking about anything. Too absorbed in buzz-words. Why don't they ever talk about a specific anecdote of government necessity?
I really do appreciate being able to watch something like this and know these CEOs are personally accountable and human. Although they have not particularly inspired me with a glorious faith in the free market...
lol... wow. its like the first day of fourth grade except with the US's leaders. this is just spiffy. good to know their echo friendly too - look at the name-tags, all the paper and the plastic water bottles! good too know were not only cheep - we just don't care!
Streamlining, simplifying, making intuitive and "transparent" the government-individual interface is an ongoing (never-ending) process. However, just to make government online systems fully integrated and coordinated with one another AND streamlined, etc., in JUST ONE AREA*, is unthinkably complex... so it's something that has to be "on the front burner" all the time for everyone.
* eg: taxes, treasury, bonds - Federal, state & local. An enormous problem, but it has unlimited potential.
so now the governments role is ownership of the country, and the people are customers and these idiots in the private sector offering advice on how to run things.......wow
