  • Hahahaha, most amazing pedals Virgil?, is that why your using plain old Eliminators again?

Your full of shit virge!, just admit you did the add for a quick buck!.

  • Pfft!, i played these for 2 hours in my local music shop and they are terrible!, light, flimsy, i felt like i was gonna break em!, and i keep hearing from every one how after a month the direct drive just loosens up and gets so squeeky!

The Speed cobra destroys this piece if shit!.

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I played these on a kit in this drum shop... Very very light...

I have a question though...What would be better for double bass pedals, DW 5000 or 9000...

Only been playing a year but I have connections with DW. :(

  • @Oroht Cannot beat Speed cobras

  • speed cobra would beat the shit out of this!

  • @DeadQuackk It does!, the pearl thing is a light flimy heap of shit!, its got no power and these guys have all been playing for like 20 years so they would know how to use it.

Even plain DW 9000;s kill this!, i bought the Cobra then saw the Speed cobra then wanted to kill somebody!!!!!.

  • oh cool they all have the same couch and drum set, must have a furniture dealership/guitarcenter in theirtown

  • these guys are fags

  • @MegaEvilpimp You're calling Virgil Donati a fag? Shows how much you know. Go back to school, son.

  • @Sunrider84 Hes no fag, but he is lying sack of shit, hes still uses plain Eliminators, he obviously really thought they where light flimsy peices of shit with no power, but did this add for a quick buck.

  • @85Aheadstix If you don't like them, that's fine. To each his own and so on, but it has plenty of power. It's all about the settings, and I'm guessing you don't actually OWN them but perhaps only tried them in a shop. Or maybe you're just basing your opinion on stuff you've heard on youtube.

  • @Sunrider84 Nah mate, been playing for 18 years, did 2 weeks of work experience ina music shop and sat on them all day pretty much, they are light, flimsy, got no power and after about 2o minutes they begin to squeak, they are terrible!, thats comming from an experienced drummer with 5 year of jazz tutoring under his belt.

They are horrible gimmick!, The Speed cobras top them!,

  • @85Aheadstix I see. Granted, I've "only" been playing for 12 years, but I've had these pedals for the last year or so now, and it has PLENTY of power. It's all about the settings. They aren't squeaky at all so far. If you didn't just stumble upon a really badly manufactured pair, I'm not sure how you can say that. They are REALLY good. If you prefer something else, that's fine, but they aren't BAD, they are in fact GREAT. Maybe Virgil did this just for a quick buck, but in that case, ask Mangini

  • @Sunrider84 Really?, geez i soooo disagree, did you even try the speed cobras?, i felt like i was actually kicking into something again as compared with the demon drive, i really also think that direct drives are overrated.

I dont like Mangini, i think he sounds like a creepy clown paedophile, and Virge well as a fellow Aussie i love him but hes back on Eliminators.

Im still using the cobras, wish id bought Speeds though.

And 12 years eh?, my advice is get lessons, it pays off.

  • @85Aheadstix Nah, I never tried them. I tried the Axis pedals before the Demon Drives, but I settled for the DDs because it's really hard to get hold of Axis stuff where I live. And I LOVE direct drives.

Yeah, he is a tad creepy, but his skill is undeniable. Same goes for Virgil of course. Both amazing players.

    Yeah I know. I'm not dumb. =)

  • @Sunrider84 Oh, your one of those guys, Neil peart of Rush destroys Mangini, Virge is good but he does get boring, i hate! the Axis pedals, they are the kings of gimmick, they have less power then the DD's!, and they break easily and the smallest parts cost a small fortune!, its bullshit!.

Kollias and roddy use custom jobs, they dont tell you that though!.

And also terry bozzio shits on Mangini mate, compared to him Mangini is lars's skill level.

    And Kollias is faster.

  • @85Aheadstix I tried them because they receive a lot of praise, and I don't buy in to praise without experience of my own. They aren't bad, they don't lack power. Again, settings are everything, but they do cost a fortune, as do the parts. That's why I chose a Pearl pedal. And yes, I knew Kollias customized his pedals a fair bit, since he DOES talk about that every now and then.

Sorry man, can't take any statement saying Mangini is bad seriously. Not even gonna discuss that part further.

  • @Sunrider84 I never said he was bad, but there is no way he is faster then Kollias, and Look up Terry bozzio of ex Frank Zappa, he absolutely destroys mangini.

plus hes 5 times more technical, then again hes not just a drummer hes a musician, there is a difference.

  • @85Aheadstix Nah, I know Kollias is faster. I don't agree on Bozzio though. I know who he is. I don't think we'll ever agree on that particular topic, so we should probably just agree to disagree.

  • @Sunrider84 wow, did you watch Bozzio?, each drum is a different tone and octave, hes prety much playing a piano in disguise, mangini could never do that.

  • Need help. I finally have enough money for some new pedals, and i was thinking:

Trick Pro V1, Pearl Eliminators, Mapex Raptors, Iron Cobra, Speed Cobra, Dw9002.

I've played on all except for the Trick Pro and Speed Cobra, and they all feel pretty good.

I have size 13 shoe, and incoporate Heel-Toe/ Slide in with my double bass sometimes.

I do Deathmetal and Hardcore drumming.

Any tips/ advice/ tests i can use on each pedal?

  • @Gr1zz3m All I can say is that the Speed Cobra are longboards.

  • i alwayes likes TAMA stuff more. pearl is on second place

  • that intro song is such a rip-off of heavy by collective soul

  • Iron Cobra + dw900 + A21 = Eliminator Demon Drive

strength, speed, power and energy in one...

  • @MikeYollotl Power?, what power, they have no power, DW 9000 have more power.

  • Price ???

  • @skool200 alot.

  • @skool200 600 at guitar center

  • These pedals feel soo good with DW Beaters

  • Virtschil Donatschi, pleasche,Schtop schpeaking.

  • So if i get top skate bearings that cost over $70 it would make it go faster? :)

  • it's funny how that there all bragging about it soooo much, yet all the drummers on this video still use the P-2000C, TAMA for ever!!

  • @rudedrummerr (dumb drummer) where is your proof that axis sucks the a series is better by a long shot, 2 the axis long boards have been direct drive and out YEARS longer then dumbdrives seen here

  • Axis rip off?

  • @acexxxoasis uhh, no. Axis fucking blows. The only thing they took from Axis, is the direct drive, and Axis isn't the only company to use direct drive, this is a pedal in its own category. Once again, Axis fucking blows.

  • blah blah blah PLAY DRUMS FUCKERS!

  • what is with the small drumming solo's?

i bet by the amount of skill they have they could play the same thing with 2 rusty peices of crap.

not knocking the awsome pedals.. im getting a pair :P

    DD ftw \m/

  • PLAYYYYYYY!!

  • Notice how they did not mention power? I've played with DD's, and the only thing I didn't like was the lack of power. I prefer IC's. It's just a matter of opinion, there is no ''BEST'' pedal.

  • I prefer DW 9000. Whenever I have played a demon drive pedal, there has always been lots of play in the double pedal version (which could mean it's not set up right) but there just wasn't enough resistance for my taste. Smoothness is great, but this pedal kind of flops a little bit due to it's looseness.

  • @guitarboyemk Thanks for that! I already got the DW. It just felt better to me :)

  • I don't know which double pedal to buy! Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive, or DW9000? I'm just going to start and I've never used a double pedal before.

    Which one?!

  • @HabitatSk8er7198 your just starting playing drums???

  • @LawfulLunchbox Haha! No. I just realized how my comment sorta says that. Sorry about that.

I've been playing drums for about 6 years now. I'm just starting to play double pedal. I went to my local music shop and tried out both. When I tried the demon drive, couldn't even feel my feet on the pedal. I then tried the DW and it was smooth and it just felt better to me. I took that one. :)

  • @HabitatSk8er7198 oohhh ok ok hahaha iwas about to say someone JUST starting playing drums buying a double pedal?? haha but your just starting to play with a double bass pedal so it makes mmore sense now haha

  • @LawfulLunchbox Hahaha! Yeah. Sorry about the confusion.

  • then again, all these opinions are by Pearl players...

  • ive played with one of these pedals in guitar center. they are so smooth and shit. so fast. wish i had a kit :(

  • New eh? Check out the Ludwig Speed King pedals from the 60's

  • blah bal..you know how your hand is an extension of your arms...bla bla bla...well your dick is an extension of your brain..bla bla bla ...fuckin typical commercial bullshit....just give us the price and see how you justify that biatches

  • I don't like these pedals... They are "too smooth" for my liking.

The felt SOO light and smooth that i have no control on the pedal.

I prefer the Tama Iron Cobra. I love the heaviness and feel.

But still, the best pedal is the Axis :)

  • I have these.best investment ever!

  • i wanna watch one of the other guys play it not just todd

  • Just played around with this at SamAsh today and it sounded awesome! Felt very comfortable and natural for my foot. Very expensive though. haha

  • THIS VIDEO NEEDS MORE PEDAL

  • Eliminator Demon Drive vs. Iron Cobra! which one would win?

  • @dashingjavi IRON MY FRIEND

  • @dashingjavi What you think,is speed cobra better than iron?

  • @AlterBridgefanc i don't know dude, haven't tried the speed cobra yet, i'm sticking with the iron cobra for now

  • @dashingjavi demon drive

  • @dashingjavi is that a real question

  • @dashingjavi I have the demon drive, is better then Iron cobra

  • Demon drive. all the way. played both. cobras got nothing.

  • @dashingjavi Iron Cobra kills that stupid fucker!

  • @dashingjavi Speed Cobra kills those two fuckers!

  • @dashingjavi Iron cobra!!!!!

  • @dashingjavi Demon Drive is 500000000000 times better.

  • @dashingjavi Iron cobra by far...

  • @dashingjavi (G.I. Joe) Oh my god!!! SPEED COBRA!!!

  • @dashingjavi Win what? Speed or power? Or both? Or flexibility? Smoothness? What?

  • @drumgroovy overall, which one is better?

  • @dashingjavi Speed cobras!

  • @dashingjavi DW 5000 ;)

  • @dashingjavi Speed cobras, but even DW90000 have more power.

  • throw in some bones swiss bearings and then i'll buy it for 600 dollars, until then i'll look for a sale or something

  • @DidYourMomOSaurus

hahahahaha if you put those bearings on theses pedals, the universe would implode.

  • @Gr1zz3m i know right?

  • @DidYourMomOSaurus

then again, put them on trick pedals, lube them with KY jelly, and have charlie sheen breath on it, and im pretty sure you will automatically become god

  • i just came here for jimmy degrasso, i prefer the spedd cobra pedal, but i have to admit that this one is very good too

  • ever heard of axis pedals?

  • @Pestilentich they are so fucking expensive...200 dollars more expensive than this one....

  • @falloist wow honestly when youre spending that much for pedals you might as well go the extra 200. you little bitch.

  • @Pestilentich well fuck you.axis pedals are overrated,gay retard,learn to play

  • @falloist I love how this kid gets all worked up. Get over yourself, and what do you mean by learn to play? Youre probably jerking off to sheep getting nailed by other men.

  • @Pestilentich did you get raped by your father when you were young or something?or maybe your mother told that i was fucking her last night

  • these are awkward as shit, i tried them at my local guitar center and my favorite was definitely the TAMA speed cobras. dont waste money on these hyped up hunks of metal, cuz they are not the best

  • they are very nice but they put them under some of the fastest feet in the drum industry and they fell to peaces so they have to redesign and beef them up

  • i've tried them but i still have to say drummer over pedals and if you have the best doesn't mean you are the best

  • ahhhh less talk more pedal lmao!

  • Ive had these pedals almost from release and i can honestely say thay are the best pedals ive ever tried, the level of adjustment is brilliant, they did take a bit of time to get used too and to get set up for my playing and they do show up your bad technuique or practices (they dont make you faster or better) but they handle a play beutifully at faster speeds (190 to 210) very even feel throughout. And i think the beaters are quality too. Highly recomended

  • whos chewing gum?

  • dude this pedal is insane i do not own one but ive tested one that a friend owns its incredibly smooth on my pedal my beaters will kick back from the bass and this pedal doesnt it shows to backward force allowing you to go faster and have more control because the only way it will go once it hits it position 1 is forward highly recommend however i do agree its way to expensive wait for a price drop if there isnt one just drool over it

  • i think these pedals look pretty cool i would love to try them and the cobras too when it comes to drums i but what makes me confertable because i can goahead and buy a cobra pedal because everyone says its AMAZING but if i dont like the wya it feels im still gonna play like shit

  • if a perfessional drummer someone whos bin playing for years and years cam over and played on my cheap set it would still sound awesome because its the player idc what brand of drusm you have or what your hardware is but if you cant play its still gonna sound like shit im not saying to buy cheap shit buy what you like theres no right or wrong with drums its all personal preference

  • drum brands do make a slight difference in sound but honestly its all personal preference the way the drums sound feel and play its what you make it there are pros that play cheap drums and cheap symbols because they like the way it sounds there are drummers that play exspensive drums and cymbals because they like it i have a cheap sp drum set and i tunded it to my likeing and it sounds nice but the most important thing is the drummer drums are like cars its the driver that matters because

  • Fuck this pedal. Tama's speed cobra is much better.

  • Pffft!, they are shit!, iron cobras destroy em!.

  • got these a couple days ago, fuckin unreal. best pedal i've ever used haha

  • russians are to serious. they have sex with rocks!

  • will everyone shut the fuck about brands. ive played so many sets in the years that i played drums and ultimately the sound was not any different from each other. ive played dw, tama, pearl, ddrums. they all sound the same the way i had them set up

  • @2reallyboredguys OKAY MR FUCKING NO IT ALL.

  • 7 mins to talk about a kick drum pedal?

and there isn't even a scientific analysis of the physical structure of the pedal.....

    I hate marketing/business..... freaking bullcrap.....

  • I have played theses AND iron cobras and the iron cobras just feel more powerfull in my ipinion

  • I like how they said the same thing.......... a million times.

  • I played the demon drive in a music store and they felt just plain strange. Played the Tama Speed Cobras and they blew the demon drives away. They look less gimmicky and have a longer footboard and just feel FASTER. This video does seem a bit cheezy. Ultimately each drummer is different but the cobras feel so much better to me.

  • @iloveNgany lol, yeah. speed cobras do a bang up job. i've played the demon drives but only with one pedal. Speed Cobra FTW. \m/

  • Oh god, this thing is a mess.

I had one and sent it back.

With all of its 'features', it only gives you a ton of trouble.

My old pearl pedal was much quicker and simpler.

  • This thing weighs a fucking tone, a tone of epic-awesomeness!!

  • i think i can count the number of times I see this pedal in action in this video on one hand. How gay.

  • jesus who the hell cares about what company one guy has. EVERYONE HAS THIER OWN TASTE AND FEEL IN DRUMS. Everyone has their own style end of story

  • I still prefer Axis. Fuck Tama. DW is pretty sick though. However, Pearl is the leading class for drums.

  • @DrumKiller2 hahaha. Cobras are 100000000x better than these.

  • @DTxOctavariumx, Which Cobra's? If you mean those peice of shit Iron Cobra's then you clearly have not used these Pearl Pedals. If you mean the new Tama Speed Cobra, then that would be reasonable, because the Speed Cobra is 100000000x better than that shitty Iron Cobra.

  • Instead of talking and 2 second demo's, you could hire Dirk Verbeuren, let him go as fast as he can, and if he beats his personal record, then these pedals are the shit and you should but them. But no, it needs to be 6 minutes talking and 10 seconds drumming >_>

  • i got a set of these a few weeks ago, they are awesome! haters gonna hate tho...

  • "what you play, is what you end up hearing?" This is a total BS commercial lmao xD

  • it looks shit i rekon. to fucking shiny(correct me all you want.) its just looks like theve gone."hmmm how can we make this appeal to people who have shiny-itis.do not want. as others have said, dw9000, or iron cobra. i dont mind axis. and my old orians were pretty decent.

and these guys lookand sound like nob heads.

  • These guys are all tools. The pedal might be the shit, but fuck these fucks.

  • @bedofrazorsqwerty Are you fucking serious? You don't know shit, Donati is fucking amazing. Calling him a tool makes you look like the biggest one in the room.

  • you have all gotta be kidding the fuck out of me ay man.these pedals are meeaan. And to be honest with you,iv owned an iron cobra and i cant tell the difference.

  • @hthtomcat3

    Thanks, Dude.

  • @hthtomcat3 "always playing catchup to these companies" grow up the dumbass. that's what it's like. and who cares? it's COMPLETELY original as it is!! and it fucking throws dw to the ground!

  • @hthtomcat3 I tried the demon drive. I honestly don't like it because it's not enough power for me. It's very good for light playing situations. The foot board is really smooth. This is just my opinion and everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

  • @DeDaBlake6 I've tried them yesterday at my local music store and, sincerely, I wasn't impressed... And it was the same thing for me here: not enough power to it. I've never really been a Pearl user, I've always tended to Tama and I'm still not disappointed! My local music store is going to have the Speedcobra soon and I'm gonna check it out and try it, maybe this one will suit me more!

  • @xXQcAresiusQcXx I bought the Speed Cobra Pedal and I love it. The long foot board gives you more leverage to move around more. It's light, but it still gives you power. You can always adjust the beater and foot board to give you even more attack. If you have big feet like me, then this pedal will definitely help you out. Get this pedal, you won't be disappointed. I also have the HP 300 Iron Cobra Jr. and I like that pedal better than the Demon Drive. Tama & DW by far are the best Hardware.

  • @DeDaBlake6 Well, for my case, I have the older model of the Iron Cobra Jr., the HP200 and I too like this pedal more than the Demon Drive. About Tama hardware, you're right. Take my example: when I bought my Tama Imperialstar, I only bought Tama hardware afterwards for my cowbell, my tambourine (which I made a pretty cool setting), etc. I don't like using different brands of hardware. Maybe I'll make an exception if I use a rack; Maybe I'll use Gibraltar. Anyways, I'll always stick with Tama!

  • @xXQcAresiusQcXx I don't like using different brands either, but all brands do not carry the same type of hardware. Gibraltar has bars to where you can mount cymbal arms and tom toms to. Tama does not have that. I have all sound percussion hardware because that was all I could afford at the time. Sound Percussions aren't that bad at all; they'll last for good while. From now on I'll be sticking with tama hardware. I'm just getting piece by piece for now 'til I can save up for a Tama Kit.

  • @hthtomcat3 Have you even tried this pedal yet? it's insane!

  • @hthtomcat3 Dude, how many reply comments have you gotten so far? lol that sucks.

  • @hthtomcat3

Let me ask you something about your experience with Pearl. Did your folks get you a Pearl Forum set when you were 15 and you expected the quality of a Masterworks? PearI is a heavy hitter in the drum biz and that is no accident. I bet you had an issue with your entry level kit outside of warranty and Pearl referred you to their warranty policy, that's business. Grow up dude, your comment only makes you appear young and ignorant. If you don't like the pedal, don't buy it.

  • @hthtomcat3

...Oh, by the way...yes this is a hype video. It is called Marketing, welcome to the 21st century.

  • @hthtomcat3 one question. Where is DW and Tama's direct drive pedals? And have you ever played direct drive? Because I bet if they send you home with a direct drive pedal, any direct drive, and you try playing it for two weeks to a month, you'll realize the abilities of these pedals. I get you're mad because yes, they are expensive, yes, these artists are getting paid to say what they're saying, but that doesn't make your hate justifiable.

  • @hthtomcat3 wow man! your so fucking brand conscience!! LOL!

  • @hthtomcat3 the pearl eliminator is way better not the demon drive but the regular eliminator in my opinion its the best pedal

  • @hthtomcat3 Excuse me. asshole, If i may address you under such terms. Have you ever played a demon drive petal? Go to your local Guitar Center. Jump on one. And shut your fucking mouth. Because you are horribly wrong.

  • @hthtomcat3 F you man.... F....YOU

  • trick dominator<3

  • and by the way guys untill u actually own one of these like i do stop trollin cuz u cant buy one =) iron cobra sucks dick compared to this one 0 latency FTW!

  • "A little less conversation, a little more action please" - said Elvis !

  • how much do these cost?

  • @edjorthebeast

the cost $750 to $800 at guitar center and thats dicounted from some other ...other places usually sell about $1,200 to $1,500

  • @tartdbusdrvr

American Musical Supply sells them for $610.95 for the double and $300.85 for the single...Not really sure what guitar center you looked at but those prices are all out of whack!

  • pearl eliminator demon = bla, bla, bla, zero action!

    IRON COBRA RULES!

  • @ironforcedistro Hell no, the new Speed Cobra kicks both asses.

  • Iron cobras kickass. Pearl sucks

  • THIS PEDAL IS SO FUCKING SHIT I FUCKING THREW UP ALL OVER THE THING. IT WAS THE WORST 700 BUCKS I EVER SPENT. THE DW 9000 IS THE BEST BASS PEDAL IN THE WORLD. FUCK PEARL. FUCK AXIS

  • @sebastianjwalker What the hell does that even mean? STOP YELLING!!!!!

  • I'm falling asleep

  • Ive had these pedals for almost a year and they still amaze me....setting changes from time to time but you change it for the music you play.....Excellent set of pedals....Better then Axis and DW

  • axis

  • DW is better.

  • i have it for a month now.. and its quite a pain trying to get use to the pedal.. its way smooth then my previous one..

  • omg!!! what you play is what you hear!!! no way!!!

  • jajaja!! shut your shi*y mouth!!

  • so there you go hope this helps somebody. Newbies, do yourselves a favor. Build up to this pedal. It is important that you get youor mechanics down first because you may get lost figuring popout everything the pedal can do and get discouraged.

  • therefore it will take some time to get used to but it's well worth it. One tip I have for people is that is you really get into this thing(and you can, I spent a whole weekend figuring it) and take it apart make sure that if you dis-assemble the direct drive from the beater and footboard to aligg the screws back correctly. If not, there will be a creek in your pedal. Any problem I've had woth it was because I was doing something wrong not because of its construction

  • The greatest achievement of the pedal is that you can adjust the cam and the beater seperartly. Very big change. The cons of the pedal are 1. price. I traded in a DW 9000 and saved up for this for about three months. This is not a pedal you can just go out and purchase without feeling it on your wallet. 2. The learning curve is rediculous. You have to remember, there's never been a pedal where the cam and beater can move seperatly

  • i own one. I purchased it about three months ago. The pros greatly outweight the cons of this pretty impressive piece of machinery. What I've gathered from working on this thing is that Pearl worked on every peiece of the pedal indivisually. You can literally take the whole thing apart if you wanted to do that. Whatever style of music you play and whatever pedal you use to play it, this pedal will be better than what you have now

  • a banal axis a21 laser copy...

  • Notice that in the short clips there they accually is playing, they are barely even using the bassdrum, they justplay fast with their hands. I think they could have made it with any basspedal from a random unknown brand. But i dont know for sure, maybe tdemon drives are great.

  • Why is everyone forcing their opinions on everyone else? I'm pretty sure we're all big boys and girls and can decide what we like for ourselves!

  • @Bonhamman90

Hey dude, pretty sure nobody forced you to watch the video or read the comments. How exactly are opinions being forced here?

  • actually - virgil can play on shit and sound amazing

  • Haha. The guys just gets paid to say such good things about these pedals.

Get Iron Cobras. Half the price, and much more stabile.

  • What a fucking campy video. lol
