I miss Dan a lot. I remember waking up for school in elementary and middle to see Dan and Holly on the TV. They were my favorite duo.

I moved from Paris Tenness to Atlanta back in 1983 and when I was home in Paris, I loved watching Dan, he made me feel safe and when I moved to Atlanta, I would always ask my parents is Dan still on the air and they said he is still there. When I came back home to visit I made sure I watched Dan at 10. I was my favorive newcaster. I haved as one of my favorite YouTube moments with Dan and Pat Sajac blooper when he was doing the weather. Check it out. We miss you Dan... You ARE the best...;-(

THANK YOU FOR THIS...I too grew up with Dan Miller and only saw it on my local news on my computer....I was shocked and could not believe it...I watched Demetri's tribute to him...I was brought to tears...I've had a underlying sadness since I read of the untimely death . How incredibly sad. Dan and Bill Hall felt almost llike family to me. I grew up watching Dan, loved his style and professionalism, and he just felt like someone you had always known. No one in the entire U.S. could beat him at his craft. I am in Phoenix now and a friend from Nashville told me about this. God bless him and his family and the millions who grew to love and repect his style and genuine respect for his profession. You will be incredibly missed, Dan.

I am not even from the MidSouth, but being a native of East Tennessee I know who Dan and Demetria area. Working in TV news and the media, you grow to respect people like Dan who stay somewhere and become a part of all our lives.

I left Nashville in 1978, but I was truly shocked when I heard the news of his passing. You always knew what you were going to get with Mr. Miller and Channel 4. He was the genuine article!!!

I have at times been accused of having never grown up and being an immature 39 year old, of not taking life serious enough and of not showing my age.

But today, for the first time in my life, I KNOW that I am not a kid anymore. An icon of my life here in Middle Tennessee is gone.

Losing someone like Dan is like loosing a family member. I feel like someone just punched me in the gut.
