I've been able to beat every level of this game on gamer mode up to this one. That's 8/10 missions, which I'm proud of.

I must admit you truly are great. I would like to think that I am very good also having beaten it on gamer as well (even moving to the same spots in most levels to hit enemies) but holy hell I NEVER KNEW you could hit that boss with your front gun!!! I did like akrug79 said plus clusters. CONGRATS and long live one of the best SNES games ever.

I would love to see someone beat the caves with the Tigershark. I go crusader for every level on gamer, but those caves force me to switch to YF or Efreet. A friend of mine who is one of the sickest people I've ever seen at this game took the satellite to deep red with the tigershark, but didn't get the kill.

Tomcat is fun because it's fast, but really a waste of money. Crusader is the most ballin jet of all.

you can stay bellow those flame throwers when they`re not lounching fire, that way you can save some weapons and also can fire gunpod or celling from the ground. By the way this is the best game of this type that i`ve ever played in every platform.

I remeber my brother beating this game on hard mode with the Crusader and NO special weapons..ah, the 90s. When I see someone do that I will be quite impressed.

The best I can do at this game is get to the last level in hard mode. After that, it's just too hard for me.

It's possible to get enough money for the Efreet using just 1 continue.

Beat: 1st base, Air Force, Wolfpack, and Seavet on the first try, and kill everything.

While you are doing this, do every single truck mission that you can, and when you are out of those, then bring a cluster to the ground carrier, grab the star, and then suicide at the end, then repeat with trucks. If you are lucky, you will have a million bucks before you run out of lives. Then beat the carrier for weapon money.

The boss is beatable with the tomcat, but you really have to be good to stay up in the spot where you can use your gun, I can only beat it with the frame rate slowed down(a TAS technique) with anything other than the two planes with upward firing weapons.

no you just die a lot of times from the boss on stage 8,

2 stars in that level = 100,000+ everytime you play it,

he died around 4-5 times.

you can check life from stage 7 to stage 8.

I completed this game incredible many times on hard. How come I can't choose "gamer" difficulty, if that's what Gamer mode means? I have it on SNES... Btw, you did a hell of a job handling all the levels so well!

Ok, I'm old school here...how did you get to delay the unicorn forcefield, and how did you get to use the forcefield twice..? Though this is one of the toughest bosses, I was able to defeat it with gunpod, megacrush, and phoenix!

when i played this i used three weapons:

for the Efreet: Cluster, Gunpod, Mega Crush

for the Stealth Ray: Phoenix, Gunpod, Mega Crush

I still love this stage. Even back when I first saw this stage way back when I first got the game for my SNES, I just couldn't get enough of this level.

Yeah, the boss was hard as s---, but the stage was quite lovely! The mountains outside at the start looked great! Anyone else notice the underground springs and waterfalls in the background? Damn, Capcom you are something special!

that boss is very easy, there is a blind space under the turrets, but when they shoot you get damaged because they change their form, check my video ;D Mission 9

i suppose you're right, for squadron it's needed a little of practice with skills, for example, this guy " The Gamer " use a emulator and it's very diferent because he used a keyboard to play and i used a SNEScontrol ... i never could do this kind of gameplay with my keyboard xD

No, you can't. You eventually have to clear the missions. (The sub and Stealth Bomber slowly advance towards your base, and if left unchallenged long enough, start launching missiles at your base, and become the only "available" missions until you defeat them) The other missions, you have to defeat them all to open up the next section.

beat the forrest,dessert,and ocean stage, and it opens up stage 8 and 9, beat those and it opens stageu can die once, and must still fight eventually the big stealth plane, but u can skip sub, and wolf pack.

You can't reach stage 10 before the Sub gets within range of your base, I think. And you have to beat all 9 previous stages before stage 10 becomes available. I've tried before.

and stage 10 said stage 8 when i beat it.

i died once(to get money for the efreet) and I still passed it without beating wolf pack or sub.

it's possible, u only get one death/ex mission to waste/

Nice. I played this for the first time in years the other day, finished it first go (sad).

Interesting to note though, you use the exact same strategy I use, especially with the use of phoenix missiles + cluster for the level itself. It's definitely the way to go.

This is a BS video. Awesome skills in evading most of the bullets, but how come u can activate the unicorn every single time you want it ?????

Seems weird because the unicorn once you get it (2:11), you have it on you all the time, until u get hit a couple of times and then it dissapears (2:24), but somehow, you always seem to respawn the unicorn (2:27)??????

It's a 3 hit shield. I'm hit when it turns yellow. The shield not showing at times is a Youtube video glitch. I get shield hit at 2:32, 2:41 and 2:47. You are invincible while Mega Crush is firing, so those are non-hits and intentional (2:21, 2:26), anything else which looks like a hit are just close call dodges.
