I'm not sure how useful the two glide throws that have you going forward are going to be (after all, this is meant to be a ranged attack and instead of keeping your distance you're getting closer). However the glide throw where you move backwards after throwing will be a huge gameplay factor when the pros start competing in tournaments. Throw an item then give yourself some distance. It's a safe attack.

you've got your argument confused zwei, the pros are the ones not button mashing. The advanced techniques take precision and timing, so in having these advantages from exploits you have to work harder to perform them and play better, so i don't see why you think this way. But maybe you could ask sakurai to make two online channels, one for regular smash, and one for wet and wild button mashing.

I somewhat agree with u but SuLLy dose have a good point the thing i hate is no items and like only 7 stages although i can understand with the random explosions ive been P!ssed off more then once with that I Hate Rainbow Row and icecle mountain but i still play them they take skill to master the area of each stage so u can use it to ur advantage just like Advance Tects but u no it's up to tournament holders really

You must be slow. The advantages of throwing an item right after a shield AND the fact that you're canceling a rool dodge TO do the throw.
That means its momentary invincibility while throwing an item. Not to mention the mind game factor of it. Its a pretty useful move actually.
Although I see the backwards one he did at the end being more useful because you are creating space between your opponent while attacking/throwing an item.
meh. shields aren't all that. i've seen several tourney matches in which shields weren't even used. its not as if you can't win without a shield. also, i'm sure that move sucks, and i would never use it anyway, regardless of shields or rolling around.
