She's even said she gets offers a lot, but since 2000, has become very selective with her choices, as she really wants to care about a show and a character to do it 8 times a week.

I met her last week at a book signing for Broadway Barks. She even sang to us. What a sweetie. The signing was attended by 5 guys in their 40s (including me) and 90 kindergartners.

And, yes, she is a KNOCK OUT at age 61.

I attended 4 of her concerts last year, and met her 4 times. She is the sweetest, kindest person you'd ever want to meet! Even though she is the Queen of Broadway, she doesn't act like a primadonna. As for sounding that good, she still takes voice lessons. If you have a good vocal coach, good technique, and take care of yourself, which she does, you can sound good until the day you die.

The thing about cosmetic surgery is that, no matter how good the work, it doesn't age well. You have to keep going in for touch ups, and then you end up looking completely inhuman and plastic.

Peters' looks are a combination of great self care, great genes, and pure good fortune.

She's 63 now, and still looks like she's under 40.
