  • I wish there was a way we could influence Nick to put this show on again. Shows like "Dora the Explorer" or, worse, "Victorious", aren't going to teach about real life!

If I have kids one day, I hope they can get to watch this show. I'm 21 as well!

  • @blah4989 when i have kids I WILL NOT let them watch new nick I will only let them watch the classics so they can watch anything from the late 80s up till oh 2008 or so the last good so on there was Avatar

  • I miss you dad :(

  • @johnson1095 man.. made me cry for reading your post..sorry about it

  • 0 dislikes. That's incredible.

  • Good Times... New Gen-Kids will never experience this.

  • so why does Scooby-Doo get remade every 4 years, but great shows like this can't

  • @Kango234

because it's not owned by Nickelodeon

  • Hey there.. I was williamkatt81 Remember that video I wanted to make about my father... I sent it as a video response.. It is not much and I hope that you will watch...

  • Que recuerdos!!

Me hace llorar escuchar esa melodía otra vez u.u

  • What makes this episode so great (for me anyway) is how brilliant and touching this retcon is. Not only do you find out more about Arnold's past and the whereabouts of his parents, but you also see how his grandparents really feel about him, how they love him and took care of him all those years. I think it's sad Helga's retcon episode wasn't as sweet as Arnold's.

  • There's a petition to try and convince Nick to make "Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie"

Type, "hey arnold Jungle Movie Petition" on Google search, and it's literally the first result.

The only reason I'm not putting the link up myself is because every time I try,and ERROR message pops up. :(

• Beautiful, heartwarming.

  • The day the world no EPIC cartoons ended on October,7 1996, (Arnold's series born. The end of the world June,8 2004,(The show ends.)WHY CRAIG BARTLETT?WHY???????????????

  • @IanAntonioBurke he wrote a second movie!!!! write letters to nick and it will be in theaters!

  • @Mad24680 I wrote to nick a few weeks ago, we can make this happen :)

  • @IanAntonioBurke Its nick's fault, not his. They liked him and wanted to keep him for themselves, and everything else he did, wanted him to sign a contract saying he'd work for them and only them. He didn't want to sign it, and the kicked him out.

  • Its so beautifull, that i connect on such an emotional level which is unimaginable! so heartfelt, Jim Lang you trully are an artist!

  • @jundljoui, I did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't dare putting this in my mp3player, dont wanna cry walking at the street

  • That feel.

  • Why do i see me when i was 7 years old?

  • I'm crying like a baby right now :( so beautiful

  • This episode made me cry, this song is making me cry... *sigh* why can't they just make the movie so Arnold can have his parents? :(

  • This episode made me cry. This music makes me wanna cry. Gosh, why can't they just make the movie so Arnold can find his parents :"(

  • Without a doubt, my favorite piece of music from Hey Arnold, all of Jim Lang's work is genius. This piece is so soothing

  • this song is like uplifting but sad

  • Wow I'm crying D:

This is beautiful... a lullaby of my childhood.

  • @KingSuperFart me too...my heart's actually feeling a pain

  • This was the best piece of music in the entire series. No, on the entire network!

  • Hearing this brings back so many memories, I miss Hey Arnold so much :(

  • Man Im 20 And Listening To This Makes My Eyes Well Up..

  • Se me puso la piel chinita!

  • Dang man, I'm 21 and listening to this stuff makes me feel old. They really do not make cartoons like they used to.

  • Loved this so much, I learned how to play it back in HS. Can play this.

  • Poor Twilight...

  • @TWolfKaden What?

  • @EmperorZ19 /watch?v=QpMKUR022as

  • @TWolfKaden "Video pops up in my history"

    Ah, gotcha.

  • Awww man I cried listening to this :-( I always cried when this episode came on

  • @Keyoka I cry every time I listen to this too. Great music

  • Just got done watching Parents Day. I've been watching a lot of episodes lately for some reason. Seeing it now only makes me love and appreciate the show even more. I never knew how lucky I was as a kid. Bless all of the people who made this show happen. All of them. And thank you for putting up the music.

  • This song makes me cry, honestly.

It was a lovely show that always had a good message for boys and girls out there. This is the best Nickelodeon ever had.

I might be 21 now, but I won't ever feel old enough to stop watching this. Hopefully one day I'll have kids to watch this wonderful cartoon called Hey Arnold!

Thanks for the song and the memories.

    Muchas gracias desde México.

  • @guzmanjair I feel the same bro. saludos desde monterrey

  • @guzmanjair I share these thoughts...

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman thankyou for everything

  • Timeless Cartoon and Timeless music to go along with it.

  • I would always cry/choke up at this episode :[. So sad..

  • This is going to be my children's lullaby when I grow up <3

  • Man, what a fitting, depressingly wonderful picture for you to have used for this song.

  • I honestly have no idea why they didn't finish this. It's so a touching story.

  • @zeldafreak701 The guy who created Craig Bartlett, was let go by Nick when he refused to sign a contract saying he'd work for Nick and only Nick. He didn't want to do that, he loved and still does love Arnold, he said he'd come back if Nickolodeon called him. I dont blame him. They were going completely fine until they asked him to sign that. Maybe if we write enough letters to nick telling them to bring him back, maybe we can, just like with rugrats, we petitioned for that and got All Grown Up

  • @lilmamagc sorry, so many typos

  • @lilmamagc All Grown Up was terrible though

  • Oh my goodness. That song is beautiful! It brings up strange emotions. I absolutely love it! :)

  • this song makes me weep just like that episode does.

  • You don't think about that sorta thing much when you're young but when I go back now and watch Hey Arnold I see how awesome and one-of-a-kind it truly was, and now I'm seeing that it had such a great soundtrack too...thanks for the upload. :)

  • beautiful music.....................

  • I just cried

  • The messages in the episodes of this show were amazing. Especially this one. You wont see anything like this on kids shows today. This music is beautiful and it fits beautifully with the episode.

  • such a sad episode, such a sad song, i miss the old nick

  • Hey Shortman, I just clicked on like 5 of your uploads randomly and guess what? NO DISLIKES! Nobody dislikes this stuff! I know you must be trying but you need to get more!

  • why did nickelodeon stop hey arnold? it always teaches a very important lesson in some episodes, and sometimes it was very heart touching. but now that it is gone, nickelodeon's shows over the years have grown to teaching a lesson, to just plain idiotic things. hey arnold was probably created for entertainment and even for fun, but it teaches a very important lesson in life. maybe one day if we fight hard enough, we can bring the show back to nickelodeon so pleas help everyone to fight!

  • @amaloveable yeah back in the 90's cartoons were great like that. i think ever since the anime craze started in America cartoons here have gotten pretty low brow. anime was never even meant for kids but now everyone is copying it.

  • I remember my granddad with this song... ='(

  • I can't explain what this song makes me feel.

  • All the emotions Jim Lang put together in less than two minutes. Beautiful.

  • For anyone who's interested, I've made sheet music for this. It's on my channel

  • Can you E mail this to me.. Please??? I want to post this song so I can remember my father...

  • @courttube3 you can download it at vidtomp3

  • @MrDaratum YES! never seen anyone else who knew about vidtomp3 :D

  • @caprellr0cks Thats also how I get all of Shortman's uploads. I put them on my PSP and at night I place the PSP next to my pillow, set the sleep timer, and let Jim Lang put me to sleep.

  • @Al3xX420 Amen

  • Un genio Jim lang T-T

  • This is the saddest song ever :'( makes me think of Arnold parentless

  • This song and this episode made me want to cry. It and "Snow" were two of my top HA! episodes with this being the top one.

  • I can't stop listening to this... such a beautiful piece. Miss this show so much, I just pray a miracle comes through and they make the jungle movie, but one can only hope.

  • This episode should've definitely been the series Finale...not the journal. The end credits and music simply was a perfect fit for such a great childhood TV show.

Really wish they went further with the Movie... :(

  • im crying....

  • its too bad that it only plays for 1:40. I want the song to keep going :(

  • Funny, I remember watching the Parents Day episode when it first aired, and I wondered if I'd ever hear this ending theme ever again. Goddamn.

  • ArnoldPhilShortman is my hero. God I miss the 90s. The best times, the best cartoons, the best everything.

  • Where can dowload this song? Itunes doesn't have it!?

  • @MrDaratum

    you, sir, are a genius

    kudos

  • Very nice melody ...

Under it is well to remember happy moments, or cry when the bad ...

    Fine, a composer well ..

  • One of my Favorites cartoon THANKS A LOT FOR POSTING THIS.. SOME MANY MEMORIES! );

  • darn you nostalgia!!!!!

  • I cry every you see that I hear this song

  • this song blows my mind... i love it

  • Arnold dreams of his parents returning in the airplane they were lost in. He climbs in with them and they fly off into the sky away from worry, doubt, regret, sadness. Away from everything. You watch this as a little kid and you smile because Arnold is happy. You watch this now and its like being left behind. These episodes don't replay anywhere. These old shows we loved that represented our childhood flew off and left us, a little kid crying desperately to fly away with them.

  • When I was watching Hey Arnold season 1, my dad asked me, "Are trying to relive your childhood?" My reaction, why leave your childhood? Its the best thing ever. When you grow up, life gets complecated. I will never escape my childhood things. It makes me happy when im feeling down. Hey Arnold show always makes my day better.

  • When I heard this, I started crying because I suddenly remembered how moved I was when I first saw the episode at the age of 8.

  • When I have kids, this will be their fisrt real cartoon show to see at the age of 5 or 7.

  • I remeber watching this episode along with the journal and I always loved this song!!! It reminds me of the cartoons from the 90's and how they never came back like arnold's parents and we are all hoping they will return again one day

  • This might me a redundant question but I was hoping to use this song in a video project for my school. Could you be able to send me a download of it? If not it's cool.

Great song in one of the greatest cartoons.

  • this makes me want to cry every time i hear it. and i don't even cry at the saddest of movies :/

  • I almost cried, poor Arnold :(

  • could u make files for us as well? just so if u happen to get taken down we'll still have the music?

  • Thanks again for the sheet music!

  • @Glorfindel9357 You have the sheet music? Can you possibly send it to me? I would be forever grateful. I love the song so much,

  • i wanna cry now.it's so moving and sad.=*)

  • hermozo

  • deam! JIM LANG deserves an OSCAR! for thissss magic song!

    :' )

  • ;_;

  • i must cry by this theme, it´s wonderful.

    The song has feelings

  • @MikeFicurilli You sir, are a faggot. :D

  • @MikeFicurilli WTF. I think you mean BEST SHOW EVER. COMMON MISTAKE. You have an ice cold heart.

  • @MikeFicurilli haha your such a winner!

  • @MikeFicurilli : FUCK YOU FAGGOT!

  • I think hey Arnold was the only show growing up that made me feel for the characters, i felt like i could relate with them. I dunno but i think thats pretty big, its hard enough trying to get kids to relate to one another , let alone a cartoon character...

  • i just felt something really nice inside

  • This cartoon had the best soundtrack imo. This episode + Pigeon Man always made me so sad.

  • Thank you for posting this! Such a beautiful piece....

  • This should be the theme music for the saddest fact of life: growing up

  • @panchovillanueva so true

  • to bad cartoons aren't awesome theses days

  • Did Jim Lang score all or almost all the music in the series? If so, he is wicked awesome!

  • @Wawagirl17 yep, almost all of it... he is truly a genious for giving this series so much atmosphere. Should be more famous for his work...

  • @RVanAs I'll say! I think the music is really the main reason I cry at various episodes. This "Parent's Day" score always pulls at my heartstrings.

  • I love the dissonance the bass line has with the melody! It is so strangely beautiful.

  • esto me trae muxos recuerdos

  • this song is so beautiful. thanks so much for posting.

  • Jim Lang is brilliant ....

  • ugh so sad

  • Sad episode

  • Such a beautiful song to end such a beautiful episode

  • muchas gracias por subir esto :)

  • Could I ask where you found recordings of all these song? It doesn't sound like an Audacity recording...

  • @vergeresolo I found the music on a Hey Arnold! fan site that was taken down in 2009. I thought one day to save the music on hard drive just in case something bad happens to them.

  • Comment removed

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman Could you perchance upload the songs somewhere for me to download? It would be greatly appreciated. The music on this show always had great character.

  • @vergeresolo I gotcha buddy: Go to download.com and get "Youtube downloader" - you just download this guy's vids, then use the same program to convert them to mp3s

  • @911AmericanPatriot Ah, thanks for the advice, much appreciated =)

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman

Thank you SO much for thinking ahead!

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman You are a saint. You don't do it for the subscription counts or the money, but for the memories. I will be sure to save this video on my hard drive as well to keep the memory forever in my life. Thank you again.

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman Where can i get this song ?

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman Is there anyway you can email them to me or provided them on a website of some sort?

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman

hey is there any way I can get the full audio album of Hey Arnold? i can't find any source...

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman thank you for doing that. really. thank you

  • @ArnoldPhilShortman Thank God for you man, way to go!

  • there is no doubt in my mind that hey Arnold is a masterpiece. One of the greatest shows ever.

  • this was such a sad episode.. makes you feel really sorry for Arnold really..

  • @dfjnjfn The episode and it's end reminded me that although Arnold helps all those people out, deep down, he's just a kid. A kid who misses his parents, and his grandparents who love and adore him, are trying their best to make him happy.

  • @dfjnjfn For some reason, this song makes me think of my parents. I'll never forget the day I saw the episode.

  • this song breaks me heart. it gives me chills. gosh, gotta love jim lang.
