Mantis' are extremely powerful bugs. tied for number 1 on the insect predator list with the japanese gian hornet, the Mantis has powerful forearms, with rows of dangerous spines. with Teeth, razor sharp and capable of cutting human flesh, and compound eyes making each of its strikes perfectly accurate. joints in its legs and lower body contract and snap forward sending the mantis up to 2 feet in 1/3 of a second. With that knowledge...id rather not be a bug knowing that that thing is after me XD.

And yeah, even if you're bitten, you're not necessarily going to die. Unless you have a serious heart or lung problem, you should be okay after a while. It's just gonna swell up and hurt lol. You should always go to a doctor though, no matter what. The venom is 15 times more potent than a rattlesnake...

Male black widows don't affect anything if you eat them, other than you not being as hungry after lol. Their venom is relatively (pretty much non-existant) harmless in the digestive tract. It's a venom not a poison, and it affects the nervous system, so it's most effective when injected into the bloodstream. Your poop might be a little white afterwards, but you shouldn't feel any worse or notice any affects. The spider definitely gets the worse end of that stick lol.
