I'm going to date myself here - I used to work at Aron's, and they even came in for an in-store. Their CD w/ beats (we had limited setup) wasn't working, so instead of just giving up, they did a full a capella freestyle round - with some of the sickest rhymes I ever heard.
It's totally possible. I was at Aron's from 1999 - 2003. If you saw a pissed off punk rocker that was CONSTANTLY getting in fights w/ customers, that was me. Haha.
Big ups for working at a REAL indie shop. Amoeba fucked us all up....

I saw them at Spaceland when Tragic Epilogue dropped - still one of the best hip hop shows I've ever seen. Mind blowing.

they broke up....That was 7 years ago....wow!!
Glad they are back together.

Do I know you?
I used to shop at Aron's.....
I used to work at RHINO.
Anyway, I don't listen to much hiphop anymore,
but I do listen to Anti Pop, Airborn Audio, all of their
solo projects too.....I like their flows and beats......
very inspirational.
