One of the best ways I found to get this all done right is use a lot of cattails, melon pults, and gatling peas. I only survived 8 flags with this, but I have the DS version, so it may be different. All I can tell you that will really help is to use potato mines in the beginning and collect some sun, then put down some cattails

That strategy will only last about 10 flags compared to some strategies which last hundreds.

you really need to start out with 3 or 4 rows of sunflowers, and then just remove them when you need the space. That way you can get almost 2 rows of watermelons by the end of the first level

also, snow pees are more effective than the double ones in the earlier levels

yeah after the game you can buy the white impersonater which can be used to cpoie another plant so you dont have to wait for the other one to load up and its mainly for endless mode
