I have two questions: In space battles, can you ascertain FULL control over your spacecraft, or are you moving in a "roller-coaster" like fashion, shooting targets on the way to your destination?

Also, when you are around other players in a normal city setting, will I be seeing the same companions? For example, if jedi knights get 1 companion, and there are 43 of them around me, will I see 43 of the EACXT same companion character??

I'll buy this game no matter what, just curious.

Guys, incase you didn't listen, they tuned down the graphics bigtime so that it would be smoother when streaming. Watch some of the higher quality videos that've come out recently, like on Totalhalibut's channel, and you'll see how great it looks.

I played WOW for about 5 years, and I loved playing..for awhile. However, the one thing that I do not like about WOW these days is the community. I didn't like WOW because of the story line, the background plot was really cool, indubitably, but your character's story wasn't really a story. I enjoyed the combat, quests, etc but it was too redundant, like almost all MMO's. I will however, give this one a try.

I don't care wether or not TOR kills WoW. I just want the game to be fun, and the player population to be relatively high. I think the only MMO that can "kill WoW" will be Blizzard's next MMO. Blizzard's the best at what they do, it's no secret. It'd just be nice to have an up-to-date, multi-world, and slightly story driven MMO.

@7Epitaph No, WoW does well because it was the best game of it's kind when it came out, and it developed a massive player population from the get-go. And new players flock to where other people are already playing. MMO's aren't fun when you never see anyone else. And since everyone was playing WoW and it was fun, no one gave anything else a shot. I still think WoW's the best game out in the MMO department. It's complex, it's big, and it's addictive at every level.

1. Have Elitist jerks tell them what to spec, wear, etc.

3. Have Deadly Boss Mods tell them when to move.

The game isn't meant to be played with such knowledge as a requirement. Yes there are smart WoW mechanics but it's far from a complex game.

Being faster then a WoW mount isent that big a deal considering most mounts in WoW are wild animals and these are suppose to be "Speeders". I think its a ligitimate complaint that they arnt ALOT faster.

Its not that i dont like the combat. It just feels like its a bit slow. When you see someone getting shot in the face by a blaster at point blank range I would expect them to drop in a few seconds but I see them still fighting back for 15-20 seconds. It just kinda feels unnatural you know.

It just appeared (from the tiny snippet of video I saw) that planetary exploration was not quite 'free and open' - ie it is like the planets in KOTOR, they can look huge, but you run into invisible walls if you stray too far from the defined path. Anyway, more info has come out since I posted that comment a couple of weeks ago, so it's out of date now.
