  • my limited understanding of the song don't think twice was derived from a trad. negro song predating the blues from S.C. Greenville/ Piedmont area hope I'm right and have helped.

  • One of the beauties of working small-market radio was I was able to bring vinyl from home and play masterpieces like this..."Sophisticated" country just doesn't know what they're missing....

  • My understanding is that Clayton was a songcatcher. Both this song and the song from which Dylan derived "Don't Think Twice," were based on tunes that Clayton caught in the backwoods of (I believe) West Virginia.
