The two most recent movies arte "re-imaginings." They are how Rob Zombie thought they should turn out. Therefore, they are not sequels to the originals. If they make another one, it will be a sequel to the latest one which will have nothing to do with the originals.

The 1978 original Halloween movie,IMO,is probably the best slasher movie ever released. However,Halloween 2 wasn't as good,Halloween 3 BLEW and all the attempts to revive the story weren't good.

Rob Zombie's attempt was OK and I liked how he tried to show Michael Meyers' metamorphosis into a psychopath but the original will always remain the best.

BTW,I never knew how creepy a William Shatner mask could look painted white.

The reason why Michael wasn't in Halloween 3 because John Carpenter had enough of Michael Myers and wanted his story to be over with part 2 leaving him burned in the hospital. He came up with a concept to make the franchise into a big screen horror anthology of halloween themed horror tales like Tales from The Cyrpt, Creepshow, or Twilight Zone of different halloween themed horror stories that go beyond and in Haddonfield.

@PShelbyProductions I happen to love Halloween on the same level as you do. It's awesome to see someone sharing my enthusiasm for it. I loved H2 especially at the end where they played the remade version of Love Hurts. Rob Zombie made the Halloween franchize sad I almost cried at the end. I did find Sherri Moon's role to be some what of a waste especially towards the end. People that hate on Rob Zombies films need to remember that they are REMAKES done from another persons perspective.

@neo942007 I believe that Rob Zombie's remake should have nothing to do with Michael's storyline. He probably wasn't as mad or vicious. I mean Jason is the vicious one while Michael is very intelligent. He doesn't kill because of his childhood he kills because of the curse of thorn. He WILL stop killing.
