@dreamingcode I recommend making the base with something sweet. So what I do is start with lots of watermelon and apples. Then I add greens like kale and celery (Quite a lot too i might add), but it still tastes great if your fruits are sweet! Give it a try.
@socomao3 Headaches and other unpleasant symptoms are part of the transition phase that your body is going through when detoxifying. Having a headache is actually good news for you, because it means that your body is actively detoxifying itself by releasing the toxins in your bloodstream for elimination! Then, a "reconstruction" phase will follow (be patient!) and you will feel better than ever.
I love my Mean Green Juice (Kale, celery, cukes, cilantro, ginger, Granny Smith Green apples, lemon) a little spicy so I add a jalapeno pepper. Sometimes when I can find them, I add half a habanero pepper instead of the jalapeno. It's more potent. When I want it to be a little sweeter, I add seedless green and red or purple grapes. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, yummy! Thanx Joe, for taking the time to respond to our questions. You're the best! Love ya!
I just mad my first juice and brought it right back up. The Kayle was horrible. I think i have to start with maybe some sweeter, less harsh blends.

I think I put way too much celery in the mean green. Blah! It was really overpowering everything else even when I added more of the other stuff.
Apple Pear Grape is good and a good ol' carrot apple is good too. Root Veggies are the fat burners ;)

I think I overdid it on the kale. I just made my first one - and it's definitely knocking my socks off.
