It depends on the contract that you sign, Sofhia. Many up and comers don't know to negotiate for royalties, higher unit renumeration, creative license, catalogue right etc. etc. They're just so happy to be signed that they agree to very lowball, borderline illegal, contracts.

And we know debt is quite a problem in the black community so i think what she said was really beneficial we really need positive role models like her.
