Back in the 80's there where a lot of really talented musicians who had great musical ideas, plus the synthesizer was used much more for 80's alternative music than today. Today the record company's are so desperate for talent they sign anyone who has a slight hint of talent. Yes today the popular musicians don't even have a fraction of the musical know how or talent that the musicians from the 80's had. In a way it's really sad how the level of musical talent has gone way down.

Anything went! :-D This is such an awesome song from then.
