Need extra stamina to overcome the competition? Try oxygen risk free, it's now legal without a prescription. Check out my page, honestly this stuff helps A LOT
Ok so I'll probably get shot down as another respondent did but I think some of the comments in the video are false "advertising" for the sport. Maybe it's a different game over the Atlantic but here in Scotland "looking the part" is the last thing people worry about at their first competition. We run numerous beginner and novice triathlons where the emphasis is not on expensive gear but enjoying the experience. The atmosphere is friendly and helpful, not elitist.
@lolitalaser Nothing wrong with "looking the part," especially for someone that has put in the training. It can help the first-timer with a little extra confidence when he/she shows up at their first race and walks into transition. A nice bike, great shoes, expensive wetsuit, and cool tri shorts will not make up for a lack of training, but if the training has been done, the athlete's performance will be enhanced by "looking the part."
@oweneoin Unfortunately, Common Sense is the least common of the senses. I've seen many newbie triathletes at races who didn't have even the most basic idea of what they were doing. It's especially common in the Swim, but I've also seen it on the Bike and even the Run. And don't even get me started about Transition!
I know what he ment by "look the part". I did my first tri back in '97. I was already nervous. Then there I am standing there waiting to swim, I'm wearing regular swim trunks, and everyone else is in a speedo. I felt more out of place and more nervous. I think that is very good advice!

"this way you will look your part and everyone will think you're an experienced triathlete."
wtf does that matter if you suck and can't compete like an experienced triathlete?!
"looking the part" is what makes this sport a joke in the eyes of other athletes (some runners). Why is some dude in his mid-50's on a $5000+ bike going 15 mph? Is that $5k bike and top of the line apparel really helping you at that level of competition? No.
thanks man for the tips!, clear explenation on the timings.
