i was on the field on the final play and i clearly could tell that he didnt catch it. i dont know what rule book or video anyone who says he caught it is looking at. now westlake was getting tired because trinity was the biggest and most in shape team they had played all season. if the ref didnt blow the call then maybe trinity would have just run it in on the next play but maybe they would have fumbled the snap or gotten a penalty or anything could have happened. i just felt kinda cheated

the biggest surprise of the 2010 season will be the plano wildcats. we had our youngest team in history last year, yet we still managed to make it to the playoffs where we were eliminated by the eventual state champions(trinity) in a barn burner where we lost 41-38. we're coming back this year with more experience, the biggest o-line in our district(which consists of teams like allen, plano east, plano west, and hebron), and one of the most disciplined and physical defenses in the state

man i'm so jealous. i live in harlingen texas. we played westlake in the 3rd round and got beat pretty badly. we can never get past the 3rd round. but i just think to myself, if we could've beaten westlake, we could've beaten every team after that except maybe trinity. cuz westlake raped every team leading up to the state championship. it just sucks cuz out of all the teams in our area, we had the hardest schedule, even though we were undefeated. anyways, this state championship was awesome

You say it was "given to Trinity" and it is a false championship? Really? given to them? Trinity was down 28-14 and scored 21 unanswered points to take the lead. I guess they were "given" those points also. Not Westlakes fault they didn't stop them it was because it was given to them. Refs blew a call with 4seconds for to many men on the field. Look at the tape, he is clearly off the field for a good 5 seconds before the snap. Cost Trinity 5 yards on a game winning fieldgoal. Poor LOSERS!!!!!!

Non biased opinion here, but it was not a catch. The receiver never had control of the ball until the end of the play and he was out of bounds before that point. Tough break for the Westlake Team, and its a false championship for Trinity. Trinity players will probably feel bad knowing it was given to them in this fashion. I'm sure they'd rather have the chance to do it again if they watched the video.

The replay booth will soon be coming to, at the very least, the state championship game. There were a few bad calls in this game, but to end it on a bad call that decides the outcome of a game of this magnitude is simply not right. Carter never controlled that final touchdown pass.
